Saqib Try KASB Bank or HBL, they might open an account in CAD$ there are only few banks that deal in CAD$ because of low turnover in CAD$.

Dear Nizami !

I have checked with both KASB and HBL, non of them opens account in CAD $. Can you share which branch is dealing in the said currency.

dEAR Nazami can have these deal in CAD means all we can deposit or withdraw money in CAD

A friend of mine settled in Canada has told me that US$ are also acceptable at the time of entering Canada for PR cards as POF. He has also confirmed that one can open US$ bank account in almost all the Canadian Banks.

So brother check the conversion rates etc, so that you dont do a double conversion and loose some money.

Seniors could you please comment?

I am a regular visitor of the forum and appreciate the effort of all participant whose discussion is very beneficial for silent members like me.  Briefly I have received MR  alongwith request to submit the revised application, family back ground, PCC, and Landing fee.  Most of the original documents are sent back while a no. of other remaining.  Now, I have following queries for your valuable comments;
1.   Should I take this opportunity to ask them to send back other documents or they will send afterwards as per procedure.
2.   I applied in Jan 2010 and since then I have been promoted but new position is not in positive list so should I update them about new position and increased salary or not.
3.   The name of the bank which issued me the Account maintenance certificate for POF has changed and location, phone nos of issuing br. Also changed but not change in account particulars. Is update required. (they have not demanded)
4.   The annexure to the revised application and other forms are required or just the forms are to be submitted.
5.   My IELTS is expiring in April, 2012, will it be a problem for further processing.
I'll appreciate a detailed reply .

Brother if HBL, Standard Charter, MCB, and Allied bank and also UBL are not opening account in CAD$ then unfortunately no bank will open account in CAD$ in Pakistan.

Yes you can't open CAD currency account in Pakistan as state bank of Pakistan doesn't allow that. Only US$, Euro, GBP currency are available. If you really need a foreign currency account go for US$. Thanks

Yes you can't open CAD currency account in Pakistan as state bank of Pakistan doesn't allow that. Only US$, Euro, GBP currency are available. If you really need a foreign currency account go for US$. Thanks

Ok, in my opinion also open account in US$ don't even try GBP as it is highly fluctuating and you might end up loosing money because of exchange rate. As per current scenario US dollar is the most secure foreign currency against Pak rupees.

Nazami I called HBL they are not offering account in CAD and nobody responding from KASB. I am not in Pakistan so it's difficult to get information on phone also they don't give any information on websites

I am a regular visitor of the forum and appreciate the effort of all participant whose discussion is very beneficial for silent members like me.  Briefly I have received MR  along with request to submit the revised application, family back ground, PCC, and Landing fee.  Most of the original documents are sent back while a no. of other remaining.  Now, I have following queries for your valuable comments;

1. Should I take this opportunity to ask them to send back other documents or they will send afterwards as per procedure.
I wouldn't do that. Let them decide when to send these documents back.
2. I applied in Jan 2010 and since then I have been promoted but new position is not in positive list so should I update them about new position and increased salary or not.
I think, you will have to mention the new position in the updated new form. Beyond that, you do not need to provide any additional proof unless they ask for it. They have judged your application based on the position you were ion at the time of application and they are satisfied with the proof provided at that time, so keep additional docs to the minimum unless the new information is critical to your case.

They have not asked for new proof of funds, therefore it is not MUST to mention this. Like i said if they have any issue with the documents you provided in the past they will ask you for new documents or aditional proof... keep the documentation to minimum as required by CHC.

My IELTS expired 10 days after my application was received, and 2 months before they sent me PER. If the IELTS was valid at time of sending them the forms, then that's enough.

Dear friends

I have one question if anyone can help me. I have manual passport and it will be expire 2014 and I sent copies of my manual passport with application after 2 week I am going to Pakistan for spend my holidays. Should I make new computerize passport or not from Pakistan and if not than my manual passport will acceptable for visa stamp stage?

You can request for the remaining docs, the same happened to me they sent me MR with some of the originals same day I requested to send the remaining docs and they sent me within 5 days.
