Hello friends,

Today out of nowhere, someone (ordinary post) dropped medical request form along with few additional requirements at my doorstep. I immediately rushed to my laptop and checked my ecas that was "In Process". Its been quite a while, probably three months since I logged in to cic website for ecas checking. I was extremely frustrated and was absolutely sure nothing is going to happen to my case. Thanks to my dear Allah.

Now I am alive and back again and need help from you people exactly the way you have been delivering from quite a while. First of all please have a look at these requirements they are asking for:

1- Medical Examination Report (Form having my original picture was enclosed in envelope)
2- New Application for permanent residence (IMM008 Form)
3- New Schedule A Background/declaration Form
4- New Additional Family Information Form (IMM5406)
5- Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)
6- New Original Police Certificates
7- IMM5562E (if applicable)

Most of above is quite understandable and self-explanatory. However, I need answers to these:

1- What is Right of Permanent Residence Fee and the process to pay. Also, is it really required at this stage of application? Is there anyone else who got RPRF request along with medics.
2- I have checked the list of approved doctors at cic website. Would appreciate if anyone let me know a good one for having smooth medics at Lahore.
3- I have few educational updates to send them as well. should I submmit these with above docs as well?

Thanks in advance and good luck to all fellows.

How you handle your job and your contribution to it. Your job responsibilities and experiences gained will be verified during the interview. While preparing brief on your job responsibilities, corelate the same with the handouts/ captions given to you for the intended job in Canada. Your all answers must fit in to the job profile of intended occupation enclosed. In case you have frequently changed your job, then be prepared to explain.

You may acquire following additional knowledge also:

Client must admit that it may take 2-3 months time to get a job in one's related filed in Canada and that too at much lower level as compared to one's present status in India. In the meantime, he/she will be willing to work on odd jobs on part time basis: that he/she is prepared to undergo additional training and courses upon landing in Canada.

      Typical Questions

The Visa officer normally conducts the interview in a friendly manner. He does not  expect you to answer  all questions as an expert but he does expect a reasonable answer for whatever he enquires e.g.

Even, if no reply is received, once I land in Canada,  Placement Services Canada Incorp., will be introducing me to various employers. I  am also like to be counselled and prepared by the Placement Services for interview with the employers for my job.

Q 3.   What will you do if you do not get a job of your Qualification and status?

   A.   Yes Sir, I am aware that initially I may not get a job of my qualification and status. As I may have to undergo certain examinations and training for being recongnised in my profession. I have to start afresh in a new country. I am therefore prepared to do any Part time preferably related to my field. Most of above is quite understandable and self-explanatory. However, I need answers to these:

1- What is Right of Permanent Residence Fee and the process to pay. Also, is it really required at this stage of application? Is there anyone else who got RPRF request along with medics.
If they have asked for it then you must pay it. This fee is CA$ 490 for principal applicant and same for the spouse. So if you are single then CA$ 490. If you are married with no children above the age of 18 then CA$ 980/- for you + spouse.
This fee MUST be paid as Bank Draft in Canadian Dollars credited to receiver general for Canada.

2- I have checked the list of approved doctors at cic website. Would appreciate if anyone let me know a good one for having smooth medics at Lahore.
Dr. Ahsan Waheed Rathore - I found him and his staff to be very professional.

3- I have few educational updates to send them as well. should I submmit these with above docs as well?
Depends on if they will affect your case. If you have received medical then this means your case wrt points is already approved... there may or may not be a need to update it unduly. Hopwever, I will let some senior answer this... so do not rely on my judgement alone.

Many thanks dear for your reply. Seniors plz respond to my query, Should I submit educational updates as well at this stage.? Also, I am still confused about RPRF requirement at this stage. Is there anyone else who received RPRF request along with MR, plz let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Many thanks dear for your reply. Seniors plz respond to my query, Should I submit educational updates as well at this stage.? Also, I am still confused about RPRF requirement at this stage. Is there anyone else who received RPRF request along with MR, plz let me know. And is this amount to be paid in Canadian Dollars??

Thanks in advance.

RPRF is Right of Permanent Residence Fee and almost 100% of people who are receiving requests for medical receive the request to submit this fee along with it as well. Hence, you do not need to be confused because your case is not unique. I also received request for RPRF along with request for Medicals.

If you red back 3-4 pages, you will notice that I asked how to get this bank draft prepared, and a Senior answered. The only way you can pay RPRF is through a Bank Draft credited to 'receiver General for Canada'. To get this bank draft made go to 'Wall Street' (Forex Company with branch on main Blvd.) and ask for this draft to be made, they will charge you in PKR and give you 2 days time to come and collect the Draft. Take cash (PKR) and your ID card with you. It's simple and straight forward.

As far as education is concerned, can you be more specific as to what has changed in your educational status that you need to update CHC for?

Hi Sum,
Letter was sent to me by post and I replied the same way through courier. With my appeal letter, i also attached highlighted pages quoting cic website and mentioned that visa officer has made a mistake while awarding adaptability points. Instead of 4, visa officer awarded 3 points in adaptability factor and case was refused by just 1 point but I was lucky that it was reviewed and approved within 4 weeks time.
I also attached copy of refusal letter for the reference.
I have also replied to your query by PM, plz check your inbox.

Dear Countryboy,
Will u please send me the address on which u send ur appeal for review? I have the same problem ,Visa Officer wrongly calculated my points and refused my application now i want to go for appeal against this decision,Will u please advise me the procedure and address where to send.?

Regards

Thanks again for replying. And my apology for asking these dumb questions that have already been answered time and again on this forum. Yes I have gone through your previous posts, have googled a bit to further ensure and everything is crystal clear to me.

Concerning education, I have few industry standard certifications to show related to my profession. Although its not Academic update but I personally feel these must have some impact. Plz comment.

Many thanx again for your detailed reply, specially about payment method through 'Wall Street' that suits me the best of all.

You are most welcome.

This is my humble opinion.
1. Your core educational qualifications are responsible for getting you points towards the magical total of 67.
2. If you have any certifications or memberships of relevant governing or licensing authority, that usually only goes to cement your professional position in the eyes of the immigration officer. Which means that your educational qualifications relevance to your profession cannot be challenged (e.g. an engineer by education who is also part of a national engineering council cements his professional pedigree by producing his council membership certificate).

In your case:
Your new educational updates do not augment point #1 above.
Since the CHC is already asking for your medical, this means that your case has already been assessed and your educational and professional credentials are already approved (they have no doubts or questions regarding them). After this stage, only your background and security clearance remains.

Hence adding new qualifications that do not affect #1 or which are probably no longer required for #2 will add no further weight to your application.

Whereas I see no harm in attaching those new certifications to your application, but I feel that they will be ir-relevant at this stage since you have 'passed' the educational + professional credential scrutiny and these new certifications might be completely disregarded.

At a personal level, I would not add ANY new 'unwanted' documentation to my file after receiving medical in order to remove any chance of delay due to consideration of new documentation of any sort... but  that's the approach I would take for myself.

You are the best judge for your own application.

major update in your case..i think 3-6 month delay onward is normal for you...

if my spouse checks will be on then analysis stage of job duties of my work experience will be accepted.

what you think?
