Just want to submit my timeline to this forum.

Initial application sent to Sydney, NS = May 19, 2009
Application received at Sydney, NS = May 21, 2009
Correspondence from Sydney, NS received = June 24, 2009
Deadline to submit the full application to CHC, Islamabad = October 22, 2009

My brother is working in Canada, His company has offered me a valid job and filed AEO to their local Canadian immigration office.

when can I except an answer from them, and how this guaranteed job letter can help in my immigration process.

Please advice ?

Ask your company to get HRSDC positive opinion in Arranged Employlment option. You will get 15 extra points due to this job and also don,t need to be in 38

unfortunately can't say anything here. as i understand, you are applying through PNP. can i ask for which province? have you tried emailing CHC Islamabad to see what they say? have you ever thought of applying for CAIPS to know what exactly is going on with your file?

Computerized passport is only issued in Pakistan, all Pakistan embassies abroad don't have facility for computerized passport.

All Pakistani Embassies abroad are issuing Computerized Machine Readable Passports

no SK. not all. only those who have the facility to issue computerized passport. just for an example, my son was born here in South Africa and his passport is manual, because Pakistani Embassy in South Africa doesn't have the facility to issue computerized passport.

I applied for Saskatchewan and yes I have sent a lot of e.mails but did not receive any response yet.
I hv order CAIPS today so let see what happens.
I am wondering one of my friend completed his medical after me and he receive his visa... same category.. same high commission but his total processing time was 12 months whereas ours is still 8 and a half month... whereas processing time CHC gives is 12 months

Last year I went to Pakistan and try to change passport from manual to computerize. But my passport expiry date is aug 2010. They refuse to change it. According to them, at the time of next renewal if i am in paksitan than i can get computerized passport otherwise i keep updating my passport from Pretoria embassy manually.
I don't understand the issue of manual / computerized passport. Especially for Canadian immigration, there is nothing wrong at all with manual passport.

Any ACMA from Pakistan who has applied under FSW and got successful visa or know any such guy. Pls share what points are / have been awrded for ACMA qualification. ACMA is a postgraduate professional qualicafication of Management Accountancy.It is a 3years program after 14 years of education ( Graduation).Morover, Higher Education Commission give ACMA equivalance to M.Com. (But i think I shouldn't use this equivelancy as such things weaken the case.)

ACMA=3 years
B.Com=14 years
Total += 17 years

As per CIC website the education points are tabulated below:
1-Master's or PhD AND at least 17 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study                                                                        25
2-Two or more university degrees at the Bachelor's level AND at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study                     22
3-A three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship AND at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study                  22
4-A university degree of two years or more at the Bachelor's level, AND at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study        20

All senior members and particulary ACMAs are requested to reply.

ACMA points claim I still confusing. As you said HEC consider ACMA equals to M.Com but many others don't think so. Especially people from India.
But no doubt you have 20 points for B.Com.
Can anyone clear this issue, as one of my friend is in same situation
