 @  All, please start praying for me as I have done with my medicals today. I selected Dr. Rathore (Lahore). My actual planning was for this saturday and spontaniously everything (including photo negative etc) gone right on way so I just called his clinc and asked if I (with my family) can come today? The answere was "yes" so we went at clinic around 5:10 and finished by 6:05pm (clinic timein Ramadan is 4:00pm to 5:00pm).

- We reported at counter (lady guided through us for process).
- We were asked for "weight" - done
- We were asked for "height" - done
- Eye checkup by reading second last line on the panel at distance (I don't know what do doctors call it) - done
- Sat and waited for Doctor's checkup (waited for few minutes)
- Doctor took history by asking few questions - done
- B/P checkup + steth checkup (chest front and back) + some excercises to check bone structure etc - done
- X-Ray - done
- Block sample for onward tests - done
- Urine sample for onward traces etc - done
- Cash receipt and bye bye....

they demanded 3 photograpes of each (only 1 for my daughter age 2.7y)

I received my passport today, stage one of immigration completed
I have requested them to return my original IELTS result sheet but they have not returned, is there any member who got the original documents back?

OK Dear Rao Brother

 Thanks For Your reply brother. Now I can see the only single case which has taken almost 4 months from CIO to reply the applicant, but that is the rare case coz the CIC contact the person through email But the applicant couldn't get the response somehow. I do not Think so that will be/ is the problem with my email. I am getting regular emails through my emails.rest ALLAH knows.

                  You right I was living in UAE and they would have reffered my case to CHC London, BUT, If I had an AOR from CIO. what the worried thing is so for I have not received any AOR from CIO. how can they refer my case to CHC London directly. And as for as the DD concerned, If you see previous Post, I have mentioned already The Exchange company doesn't have any track record for my 1100 CA$. isn't Very strange ? whom should i ask If the CIO has en cahsed my DD or Not ? I did make the DD in Sharjah UAE.

There are two more issues left to be sorted out :

1>Proof of fund at the time of landing,How should I go about that? I have thought of making Bnak Draft payable to me of around 10,000 CAD and carry 1000 CAD as cash in hand,what u uys think,secodnly is there anyone who can help me in making such Draft with minimum exchange rates,if any one can guide me that how should i do that,it will be really helpful

2>Ticket,Anyone knows someone in Air-Ticketing who can arrange Ticket for as minimum amount as possible,

Pls help me in these two issues........

imran. it is v.good idea to carry less amount in cash, dd will be best. u can also buy travler cheques but i thing it will be costlier then DD.

Best way is to open a foreign currency account in a bank which does not charge much for making D.D and then ask the bank to make a D.D payable at any bank in Toronto Canada. in this way it will be easy for you to cancel and redeposit the D.D in your bank account in Pakistan in case you do not need funds in Canada. And you can also deposit the same D.D in your account in Canada.

Regarding Air ticket, the best option is PIA as it is a direct flight of 14 hours the return fare is around Rs.103,000/-, the fare of Emirates via Dubai is Rs.105,000/- and air fare of Turkish airline via Istanbul is Rs. 89,000/- and 95,000/- depending on when you are travelling. The problem with Turkish airline is that they have connections problem and on return you need to have at least 24 hours stay at Istanbul airport although they provide free hotel also.

I have made reservation on Turkish airline for Oct 16 the fare is 89,000/- I will get the transit visa which cost around 3500/- so that I can make a day tour of Istanbul on return.

asa i am a new user of this form......congrats to all of those who have got there visas and prayer for the ones waiting....
very encouraged to see that ...we could be so helpful to each other specially in this era.......

If possible the one who has got visa stamped i guess imran or another person ....could you tell me that how much time is there on your visa
in which you have to enter canada....will be posting questions off and on...an will try to be of help in anyway possible....thanks take care ah
