theres a discussion going on one of the threads at this forum about acceptability of digital photos..

is this even an issue to bother about? those who are through with medicals, please shed some light?

As told by Raoo that u need to send it separately,I have sent it through tcs,write sdown the file no. which u have recieved from CHC,Isb.People at IOM will call u and will ask if u can attend seminar on this this date,if u agree then they will send u a letter of invitation through courier.The food in seminar was exceptional,so my advice to u would be to go after Ramdhan as u will miss the classic meal in Ramdhan.

amidala, i have applied for a canadian work permit in the past. i took the photos of my wife and children myself at home from my digital camera, did a little bit of finishing in adobe photoshop, and took them on the usb drive to a photographer who made the digital photos from them for me then. canadian embassy in pretoria accepted these photos without any issue. i think the requirement and specifications for photos is same for work permit and PR both. this time for my PR application, i have done the same thing again. if they (CHC Isb) raise any objection (which i doubt), i'll let you know .

What if you fall under two NOC codes of the 38 List.  As I work as I.T Manager, I am also a certified trainer and conduct computer training courses in an academy. Can I mention that in my application (NOC: 4131: College and other Vocational Instructors), or the overlapping periods will cause any problem with my application as I worked on both positions simultaneously..................

No issues at all as long as your photos are as per their specifications. They never asked for non-digital or digital photos all they need as per their specs.

hello,
i am currently in Canada doing my masters. before come here i gave one full time continuous work experience in Dhaka and the occupation is on the NOC list. problem is the occupation is not among the 38 selected one. but i have find below information from cic website-

"According to the eligibility criteria, your application is eligible for processing if:
you have an offer of arranged employment, OR
you are a foreign national who has been living legally in Canada for one year as a temporary foreign worker or an international student, OR
you are a skilled worker who has at least one year of experience in one or more of the occupations listed here."

as it is written that foreign national living legally in Canada for one year as an international students can apply as skill immigration. question is can i apply as an skill immigration if my previous work experience is not on 38 list? i know about Canadian economic class but as i prefer this one. and also can i apply before completing masters program base on the fact that i am in Canada for more than one year? i want to apply for skill immigration while doing my masters and i will meet 67 points. only problem is my previous experience is not on 38 selected list.

please provide expert opinion on the above issue. thanks in advance.

can you please inform me what kind of verification inquiry (if any) was received at your friend's wife's university? did CHC also investigate anything at your friend's (dependant/spouse in this case) work place?

i have applied last year as a sales manager and my code was 0611 - till today i didnt rcv any response from them unless only confirmation letter abt the file i had rcvd. now what should i do? it might be pssible that my application would be rejected. but i donthave any news yet. so should i contact them abt my application process or status?

if you applied after february 27, 2008, then i am sorry but 0611 is not on the list of 38 eligible occupations. which means a rejection may be on its way sooner or later. i wish you all the best for future and my prayers are with you.

No she did't had any enquiry, though she lives in Islamabad.
