When they say 2 years or more, it means indefinite time after 2 years. Sad
Very true.

Dear Forum Members,

My NOC is 0111 and i applied with Nova scotia in July 2009 1st AOR in Oct 2009, submitted by Original Docs 0n 10th Dec 2009 and received 2nd AOR from CHC Islamabad (dt 23 Dec. 2009) on 6th Jan 2010.

Dear                         ,

This is in response to your enquiry.

Your documents have been received and placed on file. No further action is required by you at this time.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010 ) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.  Because they reflect Canada 's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Sir / Madam,

Since then first the status was updated in ECAS as file transferred to Canadian High Commission London June 30, 2010. In Feb 2011 my ECAS updated and changed to "In-Process" and since then its been almost 11 Months now i haven't received any update or request for any additional documents from the London Office.

If you ready carefully cic website, it clearly says that 23 months processing time is for applications submitted between Nov, 2008 and June 2010. Applications submitted after these dates are preferred and processed on priority basis. Processing time starts after submission of complete application  package (2nd AOR).
Application submitted in June, 2011 will be processed in one year as per current trend.

Hi friend, whn you mention that the processing time starts, do you mean whn i sent my documents to the London VO OR Whn they sent me back the 2 AOR.
Could you please clarify.
Thanks

Its not the date you send documents to them, its the date when 2nd AOR is issued. That is the date when you can start counting months.

But we should keep in mind one thing. That is these times are for the files which has been cleared in the past. In future how much time will it take is unpredictable. So we should not base our hopes on these timelines. Infact London VO has not done anything on MI 1 applicants. And this is clearly seen in their latest quarterly data release.

Dear Countryboy,

We have to realize that since the word average processing time is mentioned, its overall average of the applicants processing time, so there might be a case that application is processed say in 15 months and in another case it may be 31 months (Avg comes to be 23 months). However since we are all keen to know the outcome and anxious about our status, this historical data of processing time gives us an idea of how much time our particular case has taken so far & how much more time it can probably take.

Having said that, we can infer nothing from this bcoz; Bhai honestly speaking there can as many interpretations of this procssing time of 23 months.  In our particular case ;

Application Sent in July 2009 = 30 Months.
1st AOR recived in Oct 2009 = 27 Months.
2nd AOR recived in Jan 2010 (dated Dec 2009) = 25 Months.

I would say that since the applicants of CHC Islamabad's file were transferred to London in June 2010, it should be the time that the London High Commission  has received files and had to start working on them would be used as period of processing of files, Its been 19 months now since that time too and we would be lucky enough if we get medical request by then. What do you say?

In Feb-12 its going to be 1st anniversary of my ECAS changed to In-Process, i dont know may be its 23 months from time since the application was In Process  Smiley

Or 23 months from the date of our enquiry to London Office on checking the status.

Dear Members,

Recently, my current job was terminated due to some internal organizational change.

What should I do? shall I inform CHC London about that change or shall I wait to get another job, Secondly,  how I can update CHC about employment change. I mean writing an email or courier updated application form indicating new employment information.

Furthermore, Can I make request CHC to provide copies of my application forms which were sent earlier, coz, I have lost all those xerox copies of my application.

Please advise.
Thanks

You do not really need to notify them about change of your job as they will evaluate your application based on your experience you have submitted. However at any stage if they require further documents or updated form then you can advice them all changes.

Why do you want to tell about your job termination.the experience. You provided was previous. One..so no need inform I guess.

Tks for reply.

Actually, at the moment I am jobless and have an apprehension that my points for employment may not be given in such case. On other hand, it has been observed that verification with employer has noted very less and if it is done so in that case negative impact may arise.

In case, If I get the job, shall I inform CHC via email or sending new form indicating new job info?

Tks.

Kindly See below a letter received by CHC London to an applicant which clearly indicates that any change in an applicant circumstances must be reported. You can report it by e-mail as well as you does't get any confirmation of receipt of your letters by CHC.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your enquiry

For Federal Skilled Worker applicants who applied before February 27, 2008.
We have received enough Federal Skilled Worker applications since February 27, 2008 to reach our immigration levels for the next two years. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis. Therefore, few Federal Skilled Worker applications received before February 27, 2008 will be processed this year or next.

The exception is the small number of cases where federal skilled worker applicants have already received instructions to undergo their medical examinations. These applicants should receive a final decision within 12 months of completing their medical examination.

The Action Plan for Faster Immigration has helped reduce application backlogs and wait times. Before the Action Plan was introduced, Canada had a backlog of over 640,000 people in the federal skilled worker category waiting as long as six years to be processed. In just three years, we've been able to get more than 300,000 people out of the lineup - that's close to half those who were waiting.

When a Federal Skilled Worker application is due for assessment, our office will send a letter asking the applicant to submit updated information in support of the application. This new information will be reviewed by an immigration officer who will determine if you meet the requirements for immigration.
Please wait until you receive this letter before providing any new information relating to changes in your personal circumstances, additional dependents, new employment, education or new identity documents.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
Yours sincerely,
