Surprisingly, I have exactly the same dates as yours but my case is in process since March, 2011. My job verification was also done in the same month. I sent them an e-mail in Feb, 2011 and I think may be that was a wakeup call for them. I will suggest the same to you, send them e-mail and ask them to send you an update. Can you also please share what is your NOC?
How was your job verification done? When do they verify bank statement? What is AOR? I also have sent an email to them last month but no reply as yet. I sent academic ielts to CIO office as well as to chc Islamabad. Is that a prob? If yes, then can I simply take general ielts now and send it to them? Also someone please let me know where to send any additional documents and through which medium i.e email, fax or courier? I'm throwing so many questions as I feel quite clueless now. I didnt hire any consultant's services initially but I met a consultant today who insisted me to hire his services to get quick and positive result. Will that help? Thank you in advance.

Documents will NEVER be returned back in case of Refusal.
Are we talking about original documents or photocopies here?

So many questions, I will answer accordingly. 1. Job verification was done on the landline phone number. The caller asked few questions about the company/ firm and few questions about applicant such as job title, salary and JD's. 2. Regarding bank statement, I am not sure how that is being done. I contacted my account branch manager but he said that its very hard to tell coz most of the times they call and anyone in the bank can answer the call. I have maintained my required balance since I lodged the application so whenever they are going to check, there will be no problem. 3. I received my 2nd AOR in December, 2009 (same date as yours). 4. About your mail queries, Each time when I send them any query, I always got my reply from them within one week time. 5. Regarding IELTS, why did you not submit it when you sent your application with full documents? By reading your above mail, I can see you are in a mess and need help. You should have done your home work well before applying but anyway, I will recommend you to contact some reliabel consultant and get it all sorted out. Majority of the forum friends dont like this idea about consultants but if you dont know what you are doing, a good cosultancy can always help you in so many ways. No doubt, most of them are cowboys but very few have a good reputation and working for many years.

Off-Campus Work Permits for International Students in Canada
Foreign/International students may work off-campus by applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for an Off-Campus Work Permit. In order to be eligible for an Off-Campus Work Permit, students must: Hold a valid Study Permit; Be studying at an institution that participates in this program. (Note one exception: Students registered in English or French as a Second Language Programs at participating institutions are not eligible for Off-Campus Work Permits.) A list of participating institutions can be found at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp;Remain in satisfactory academic standing as determined by their institution; Have been studying full time for at least six months out of the year preceding their application for an Off-Campus Work Permit; Sign a form authorizing their academic institution and the province in which they are studying to release information to Citizenship and Immigration Canada, for the purposes of confirming their eligibility for an Off-Campus Work Permit. The following international students are not eligible for an Off-Campus Work Permit: Visiting or exchange students; Students receiving Awards or Scholarships from Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade; Students being funded by the Canadian International Development Agency; Students participating in the Canada-China Scholars Exchanges Program, Organization of American States Fellowships Program, or the Equal Opportunity Scholarship Program, Canada-Chile. An Off-Campus Work Permit is valid for the same duration as that of the Study Permit, which is the duration of study, plus an additional 90 days. Students may work off-campus for a maximum of 20 hours a week, but they may work full-time during scheduled breaks, such as summer holidays and spring or winter breaks. If a student fails to maintain the above eligibility requirements, their Off-Campus Work Permits are no longer valid and they must immediately surrender the permit to CIC. guys m also from pakistan..doing ACCA here in Canada...so any idea about how to get WP n PR on behalf of ACCA??my college is a pvt collg n they dont help students for applying WP??m lil confused whether i can get it or not???kindly replyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi seniors please guide as CHC LDN is conducting interview of immigrants, in FSW catagory if the spouse is a bit hard to hear or about unable to hear due to hearing loss, then what would be the situation in case of interview called by VO. The questions that Visa Officer wants to ask from the spouse can be answered by the principal applicant ?

Dear Usman, Dont worry about verification call, in most of the cases they do not contact employer but in some cases, they do call and check. About interview etc. its the same like job verfication. Only very few applicants are called for this but mostly, it is waived-off. We can only share our experiences here but how visa offices work, nobody knows. I think we are getting there now. Overall, applicants till sept, 2009 have received their medicals and hopefully we will get ours in the next couple of months INSHALLAH.

Have you got a call for an interview? If your wife is the principal applicants, it could be problem with interview and medical as well.
