Dear Jade i think they have made a consolidated checklist for all new applicants. The link for Visa Office checklist on CIC website has been removed.
There are only some special visa office requirments for candidates only from China/Bangkok.
According to new check list we have to send copies of birth certificates and nikahnama instead of originals and some other minor changes as well.
Please verify
Haseeb, I just sent my application a day back on 17th July, with old checklist & Viso Office checklist, but i just saw that that they wrote on website that application received after November 2011, should follow the new procedure, so i believe new application need to follow new procedure. I am a new member to this forum and am planning to apply for canadian immigration .I have some concerns i will like to discuss and i hope some body here will help me in this regard.
1. I got married 4 months ago . The residential address mentioned on the ID Card of my wife is of her fathers residence which is in lahore whereas we live in Rawalpindi. Secondly, her name is same on her ID Card as was before our marriage. My question is should i apply for a change in her name and address printed on her ID Card?
2.Approx. how much time it will take between submission of my application and visa approval? Should i maintain the required balance in my account for this time period?
3.I am applying under NOC 0631 ie Restaurant and food service managers. This was my second job after my studies. My first job was as Assistant Finance manager in a service organization which doest not fall under any NoC Category.The problem is that the company i worked for has been dissolved and i dont have any employment contract nor detailed job description for that job rather i have a simple experince letter mentioning my Designation and time period at that organization. Now i am confused what other proof i must submit with my application for this job.
These were some of many questions in my mind .Thanks for your cooperation and help in Advance.

Dear Haseeb, 1). You can change your residential address on the ID card from NADRA, it will be good for you, where as your spouse name is concerned, its not must (In most of the countries even in Pakistan females do not change their name after marriages now), You can get Nadra card ready within 2 weeks, and within one week if you apply for urgent. The main thing you need to prove your valid relationship with your wife. For that you should have Orignal NIkkah Nama, Marriage Photographs, Wedding Card etc.... 2). Usually it takes inbetween 14 to 20 months, if everything goes smooth. I believe its better if you maintain the balance in your account (Seniors please comment) 3. Try to submitt maximum documents as a proof of your employment ( Experience Letter, Contract, Payslips etc... ), If you are missing some details, try to write a letter and explain all details in that letter. Applicants should follow the new Instruction Guide when preparing to submit an application.Applications that are received by the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) on or after November 14, 2011 that have not been prepared using the updated Instruction Guide and the Document Checklist (IMM 5612), will be returned as incomplete. As of July 18, 2011, applicants for Permanent Residence are asked to complete the new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008). Applicants are encouraged to complete the form electronically and validate the information to generate 2D barcodes before printing. To ensure you have the most recent application form, please use the link to the application form below.I am confused about it, as i just sent my application on 18th July 2011, so i was suppose to submitt the new IMM 0008 form?
