Anybody knows what are the charges for passport renewal and what documents are required for it? And how long does it take.
Thanks

@ Ammar Tahir
Why do you need to submit her Masters degree when you have already got the requisite points (67) to clear the eligibility review. Secondly I do not think you can add additional degree or points after your points have been locked by CIO. Thirdly why did not you submit with your initial application a letter from your wife's university that she is persuing Masters degree and would be completing it by this date, as this was clearly mentioned in the instructions for applications for Canadian Immigration. I did that myself as I was persuing Masters when I applied.

Regarding the upgraded qualification, I can assure you that points are awarded for the upgraded qualification during processing of application. One of my freind did the same and he got points. Infact, his original points were less than 67 and the upgraded qualification saved him. Therefore, you should immediately submit the transcript to CHC. Regarding the travelling issue, I dont have precise knowledge. You may ask the seniors for advice. Dear All AoA,
I sent my application on Sep 02, 2010 and currently my eCAS is RBVO. At the time of application, my wife was doing M.Sc. and therefore, I claimed points for her B.Sc. degree and sent in the B.Sc. transcripts to the CIO. She has now completed her masters degree and we have received her transcripts and got them attested from HEC and foreign office. Plus she is going to travel to the UAE to meet me this month. Kindly suggest do we need to notify the London VO regarding these two things (M.Sc. and traveling to the UAE)? Since, I read in the Case Specific Enquiry form that we need to inform them regarding "acquisition of a new educational credential"
Thank you very much in advance
Regards,
Ammaar

My status has not changed for long. It stands like this for long time (I have added supplementary information in red]:
We received your application for permanent residence on June 22, 2009. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on August 14, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review. [complete documentation were sent on 10 Nov 2009, full processing on application started on 12 Nov 2009] We transferred your application to the London England office on August 19, 2009. The London England office may contact you. We transferred your application to the London England office on June 30, 2010. The London England office may contact you.
Can anyone advise how long more will it take for any development? Thanks

Dear ss1886, Thanks for your response. I just want to notify about this; don't have plans to claim additional points for her degree. I know that once your application reaches CIO the points are locked Additionally, I mentioned that she was pursuing her masters in her personal history; I didn't read anything like submitting any letter from university that she was studying in MS? Where it's written by the way? Thanks and regards, Ammaar

Thanks a bunch for the reply Khalid! Well, it's written in the Case Specific Enquiry page that we need to inform the visa office regarding any educational upgrade! I am going to launch the case specific enquiry and intend to scan her transcripts and a cover letter explaining the same and send it via CSE. Dear seniors esp Saqi, Manj, staralihaider, canada1234, do I need to inform the visa office that my wife is going to visit me in UAE (and leaving Pakistan for some days)? Thanks and regards, Ammaar

Yes..it will work...thats what is required actually...HEC attestation is not required though some do it in absence of university sealed envelope...no worries...
dear i just had sent all the documents as attested photocopies (notorised) except IELTS,Marriage cert. birth certificates and original Fsc,BA,MA degrees verification certificate from my university not from HEC. will all these be enough because i needed originals so i did not take the risk of sending them o vo ? thanking in advance for the comments , ryan niazi

@ ryan niazi I have already sent it to my lawyer - David Cohen via courier today who will decide to submit it to the vo whenever required or good. Rest of my file is complete in all aspects except IELTS score and my 3 Kids expired passports for which I will apply for renewal in next week. Once I get 3 new Kid's passports, I will send their attested copies to David Cohen also. The rest is on HIM the Almighty. HE will decide further. Always Hopeful Hopeful Canadian
