Hi,
I have applied as a Federal Skilled worker on 30 July 2009. I have throughly read the guidelines and I think i can qualify under the new law as Federal skilled worker (NOC 0711 as Construction Manager). My total Experieince in this profession is 1.5 years (in the last 8 years) which makes me eligible to apply. But i am not sure whether my other job experience (most recent one) will help me score points (to cross the 67 mark threshold) which does not fall under the shortlisted profession.

Can anyone advice me, can I score points of my work experience that is not covered in the short listed  profession..?  Although my current work experience is listed in NOC and fall under skill level 0 and skill Type A.
 
Below is the table which gives a clear picture of my full time paid work experience.

You secure 21 points in your occupation factor and on top of all "you qualify to apply under FSW1"

As far as I know, Only one Certificate from one Country ( That you have Lived for more than 6 months ) has to be given. This is the work of the Police to verify all of your residence areas. If anyone has any concrete evidence against it, please correct me.

You need a PCC from every district where you have lived for more than six months.

This is not true. I am currently living in Karachi and I have provided police clearance certificates for me and my husband with our full application to CHC Islamabad in June.

When we received provisional approval letter from CHC they asked us to provide updated police clearance certificates from KHI once again (previous ones were still valid & only one month old). They also asked us to provide PCC from Rawalpindi for myself as I was living in pindi before our marriage and from Mardan & Lahore for my husband. My husband belong to Mardan and shifted Karachi when he was 23. He has also done a job in Lahore for one year and moved back to Karachi. So in all they asked us to provide 2 more certificates for myself and 3 certificates for my husband.

Our consultant was of the view that it is against IPRA rules and he is going to write a letter to them as PCC from Karachi is more then enough. But I asked him not to do it as it may waste time so we decided to send them PCC from all cities which they wanted. It took us 2 weeks to get them so we finally sent them PCCs in early August.

2 year in Islamabad
again 1 year in Abbottabad
and from 2007 I am in Lahore
Address on my I.D card and Issuing authority of my passport is Faisalabad

I think Hopeful Canadian is right. The key point is one certificate oer country where an applicant has lived for more than 6 months. As per my understanding it is then the job of the Police to issue the certificate after the have verfied from all other places. However, again over to seniors for their opinion.

Amidala, i have gathered almost all the documents, only a police clearance from south africa is delayed. as soon as i receive it, i will send the full application to CHC islamabad, insha'ALLAH. lets hope it happens in the first half of september .

by the way, i believe your IELTS exam is over now. you never shared your IELTS experience? how did it go?

ahan! well hope you get to do so as per plan

oh yeah I am through with the IELTS test, still waiting for the results. the test was not too difficult. the speaking test was held on Aug 19 and the rest on Aug 22. Speaking test was quite like a free flowing conversation. first introduction and a query about my nature of job. then she asked me if I found my job difficult? then she asked me about my letter writing experience...if i write on a conitnuous basis, to whom? for what purpose? whats so challenging about this task?
2nd task: I was asked to explain my life's most important success, what was it? how I achieved it? (I had to talk without being interrupted for 2 minutes)
3rd task:  prolonging my talk from the 2nd task, she inquired: do ppl have changed the idea of success? how should successful ppl be rewarded? nd the type...

Listening and Reading test went well, Writing task1 :letter to landlord that u r leaving, thank him, and recommend a friend. Writing task 2: some ppl believe environment can be saved by reducing the amount of air travel. Agree / disagree? give personal experiences and examples to support.

the tips given by you, Manj and amerzd did help. do pray for my results, as I need max score to claim 67 points.
