I received medical request from Islamabad embassy again (since my medical test was expired and marital status is changed). Currently I am living in Dubai, Is it possible if I can conduct my medical examination in Dubai instead of Pakistan (using designated DMP in dubai). I emailed Islamabad embassy but did not get any response yet.
Anyone has similar experience, please reply...

Hi I contact different consultant on telephonically for backlog 2005 cases, they have not satisfy answer, and every consultant have different opinion. Some Indian applicant's thought, CIC make plan 2005 to above applicant's fee return with application. Some said B-046 serious process and upper backlog applicant return. Some says CIC policy clear next month July 2011 for backlog. New information, CHC London has quota 2500 for one year Skilled Class applicants. +++++++++++++++++++++++
Any Pakistani 2005 applicant draw Capisnotes please share information, I draw capisnotes March 2010, only award age number.

Dear Azmat, Sonja, Nouman, et al., Your application will not be assessed this year. As CIC has received two years'-worth of applications since 26 June 2010, if the current priority procedure is followed and a similar number of people submit application which are to be processed at London or Islamabad, it won't be reviewed in 2012 or thereafter. That is why I am seeking people to participate in a court case, asking the Court to order CIC to assess applications, as opposed to warehousing them until the applicants die or withdraw their application.http://www.linkedin.com/groupAnswers?viewQuestionAndAnswers=&discussionID=54446245&gid=2932885&commentID=42891221&trk=view_disc

Six Indian sailors, who were part of the 22-member crew of m.v. Suez vessel that was recently freed by Somali pirates, on Thursday reached Karachi harbour and would be sent back to India soon.
Pakistan naval ship PNS Zulfiqar carrying the 22-member crew of m.v. Suez, including six Indians, reached at Karachi harbour amidst an emotional welcome.
Suhail Izaz Khan, Counsellor from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, received the sailors.
Somali pirates released the crew of the Egyptian-owned ship, who were held by the pirates for about 10 months, after huge ransom was paid to them.
“Our gesture is the message of love. I hope that India too will reciprocate with love because Indian sailors have been also saved. I use to hear their families through media, I even talked to some of them. They were really upset,” Sindh Governor Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan said.
In India, family members of the released sailors expressed their joy at hearing the reports of their dear ones reaching Karachi.
“I am very happy to hear the news. In the last one week, there had been problems with the ship. I last spoke to my husband when he was getting on to the Pakistani ship as m.v. Suez was sinking,” an overjoyed Madhu Sharma, wife of sailor N.K. Sharma, said.
Shamsher Singh, father of another sailor Satnam Singh said he had lost hope for the return of his son.
“I had lost hope completely. But After I spoke to Ansar Burney in April, my hope was rekindled,” he said.
Burney, Pakistani human rights activist and former federal minister, was instrumental in getting the hostages released.
Burney thanked all those who were involved in the operation to rescue the sailors.
The Pakistan Navy had launched the Operation Umeed-e-Nuh (New Hope) to rescue the crew after m.v. Suez captain Wasi Hasan requested the evacuation of his crew to save their lives.
The release of crew members was immediately mired in controversy, with both India and Pakistani accusing each other of indulging in risky and dangerous manoeuvres when the freed merchant vessel was being escorted.
The crew, including 11 Egyptians, four Pakistanis and one Sri Lankan, were shifted to Pakistani warship PNS Babar after the m.v. Suez ran out of fuel and started sinking.
The crew was then transferred to another warship, PNS Zulfiqar, for the voyage to Pakistan.
The m.v. Suez, owned by an Egyptian company, had been first boarded by Somali pirates in August last year

If what Tim has understood the criteria of CIC to be true. Then it is a criminal act. At first they promised 12 months, then they changed their own laws. And now again it is thought that a new list would emerge and only it would be catered for. This is wrong. They have us waiting for two years now. We could have looked for other options i.e. other countries to move out and would had been already living in New Zealand, Australia or The UK, by now.
I strongly suggest that we the members of this forum should take some action and seek our right through a court of law. Even if it takes to be in Canada. We must protest and take our right

It is alarming the way things are going. When it all started, I think everyone thought it would take maximum a year but it is taking too much time now. I personally applied in July, 2009 and its been 2 years now and nothing is happening. Also, blocked 1.9 M in the bank for almost 2 years. Everyone must check this link and you will have some idea about the future. I think its not fast track anymore now, this whole process will take at least 3 years or more specially for all Pakistani citizens. It was a good try by Pittabread but it's their country and laws. They dont give a damn about our sufferings.

Now, for applicants who do not have an offer of employment in Canada, the government will further limit the number of new federal skilled worker applications that are considered for processing to 10,000 a year, beginning July 1. This limit will help better align the number of applications with labour market demand. Within the 10,000 limit, a maximum of 500 new applications in each of the current 29 priority occupations will be considered.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2011/2011-06-24a.asp

This is worrying and I agree with him to some extent. But what he says about 2 years worth of applications I disagree as only 13682 people have applied so far out of 20,000 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.aspDoes he mean 13,682 visas cover 2 years visa quota that CIC allows to be issued??? Does any one know what is the visa quota issued by CIC per year?? Thanks

Considering the present situation, I am planning to get student visa for studying MA Criminology from Toronto University. Can some one guide me how much time authorities give us after completion of degree to find job in Canada. I was told my a consultant last monday at Regent Plaza that they give you 2 years for job finding and then your visa will be converted into work permit. If I succeed , i ll be getting arrange employment letter and subsequently eligible for immigration. I am thinking of getting back my present immigration as its just wastage of time and blocking of 2.3 million Rupees in bank for statement purpose. Senior please comment. As a student, how much hours work I can do weekly?
