I sent me application on the first of December 2010, and i haven't even received any confirmation regarding it, not even my ECAS details. This is really getting me concerned.

Please advice that what should i do now?

i suggest u look at the spreadsheet .it will give u a good idea about timelines for applications lodged in dec 2010.and u shall be relived to find many more to be in teh same boat.it may just be slow..but be steady !!

Thank you for the spreadsheet, can you please tell me what does PER issued mean?

it means Positive Eligibility Review ----- its the first step that gets ur process started.It is issued by CIO after reviewing te documents u sent with ur application package .
after this ur file is transferred to the corresponding visa office for further review n processng.

I believe thats the problem, i haven't even received a PER, i know that the documents were sent to the correct place because they were received by a person called G.Miller and a little search in this forum shows that he receives everyone's documents. e.g

its my personal observation that the applications being lodged in 2011 are being entertained far quickly than those lodged earlier.
so no worries as long as u meet all requiremnts u should stay hopeful.

AoA,

I submit my Application on 25 may,and it reached there on 30 May, I submitted my Originals Nikkah nama and Birth certificates of my wife and mine, but on yesterday i got a parcel form canada and they returned my original nikkah nama and certificate ,and it was mention in the letter that they have a copies of theses document on file so plz keep the original for your record,as far as my knowledge is concern original nikkah nama and BD is requirement of LOndon visa office .
so any body have any idea whats going on there /;

u r  lucky,they  showed  generosity,dont  b  tensed,they kept photocopy of ur certificates.if  u  got ner they might send  ur bank darft along  with ur certificates,what is ur  bank draft status

there is nothing to worry as they are saying the have their copies for record ..!! chillax !!!

whts ur status..?ve u been issued a PER or ur application fee deducted?

NO they just send me my birth certificates and Nikkah nama ,my Educational documents are still with them , and that letter was issue on 7  june  and i got it yesterday ,my app reached there on 30 may ,and i am still waiting for PER i guess it will take 10 -15 days more to get PER if every thing goes well.

I received medical request from Islamabad embassy again (since my medical test was expired and marital status is changed). Currently I am living in Dubai, Is it possible if I can conduct my medical examination in Dubai instead of Pakistan (using designated DMP in dubai).
I emailed Islamabad embassy but did not get any response yet.

Anyone has similar experience, please reply...
