Hi all,

My friend's status changed to decision made  yesterday after one month of getting step 1 letter from CHC London. He hasn't received ppr yet. What does it mean? He is really worried.

Once he has got step 1 letter, a month back, that means to me that his visa is approved and only stamping is to be done by Islamabad office. So london office has made the final decision, their job is over. Decision made is logical case approved.
This is my view only.

I have launched number of requests to CHC London for returning back my original documents which I required for the processing of family visa for my family for Middle East.

First of all it is good not to be a rejection.
Then a bit disappointing as it is not a medical request.

Medicals now for this timeline is a rare possibility....i think for timeline like our's we should be expecting our apps to take another leap from Nov-Dec-2011 onwards...

Don't loose hope Haral, I too got my original documents back except IELTS and PC and later after a month received medicals and RPRF request. Congrats, and await for MR now...

How long did it take to receive ur original documents..? did u paid anything for courier charges..? i have also requested them to return my original documents on 19/05/2011 and still waiting for there parcel. they sent me the following message when i requested them for the the original documents:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your query.
 
Please send an e-mail with your mailing address and stating that you accept the documents to be returned to your address by International Signed for Service.

They need the Originals for scanning purpose. All the originals are scanned and kept in the CAIPS database.
You can check your CAIPS notes to see whether your documents are scanned or not. If not then they will ask for these again at a later stage.

If someone needs the originals before 2 years then it is advisable not to send these to the Visa office. Rather we can send notarized copies but at a later stage they will ask for the originals.
Any update request from CHC may delay the application 3-4 months so normally people avoid the delays by sending originals.
IELTS and PCCs must be original. Copies are not accepted.

Yes dear but if you are a pakistani,and your mother language is other than English or French then you will have to give a written proof of your english/french proficiency, it involves a long process e.g confirmation/attestation  from HEC,Boards ,universities etc regarding your Medium of Instruction ,thats why one needs IELTS for immigration+calculation of Applicant's points is easily made/estimated through IELTS whereas if IELTS result  is not produced its up to the Jurisdiction of Visa Officer what he decides regarding Applicant's language ability,
I wonder why you did not submitted your IELTS uptill this stage,did you receive your 2nd AOR,how many points do claim without IELTS?

Initially my case was filed by Johar Consultant, Karachi on May 20th 2010 and received positive assessment from CIO on 13th October 2010. Full Application received by CHC London on 22nd November 2010.

By profession, I am working as Assistant Manager Finance in Treasury department and filed my case under FSW 0111 (pre-June 2010). Earlier, I had approached my consultant mentioned above through newspaper in which they had advertised that offered services to get Canadian Immigration without IELTS and Interview. 

They have calculated my points as under:

Education   20
Age      10
Experience   21
Adaption    09

Total 60 without claiming IELTS.

My full application was received by CHC on November 22nd 2010 and ECAS showing RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE since February 2011.  In response to my email CHC London have confirmed the receipt of full documents and asked to wait till further announcement by Canadian parliament under the first Ministerial instruction as our NOC is not under priority.

It is personally in my knowledge that few applicants who filed their respective cases through Johar Consultant without IELTS in July and Aug 2009, they recently got their Medical requests last month.

Dear dont depend upon the views of consultants ,they are killers,most of the consultants  know nothing about immigration,just send an email to Qorax who is an expert and offers his sincere services to all of us ,discuss your case from A-z with him,
My personal opinion is that to meet 67 points you should have submitted and sent your IELTS test TRF to VISA OFFICE,
Make it fast lest you should loose the opportunity,
