I don't have appointment letter/contract but my employer is willing to issue a new one. Question is what should be the date on it current one or it should be in back date?
I have been working for same employer from last ten years and our company also changed its address 2 years back. could that be a problem in background checks?

well contract letter needs to be of date when you joned them...though you can get employment confirmation letter with recent date mentioning your date of joining and designation etc.....on the other hand reference letter which describes your job responsibilities should be of recent dates (i:e) within a month of sending it to VO........

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

 

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.   

 

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.

 

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

 

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Yes he is giving me employment confirmation letter, which shows my date of joining, positions held by me and dates of my promotions in chronological order then a reference letter for each position held. I think that should suffice and there will be no need for offer or contract letter.

I,ve received ppr-1 on 12 th may 2011 but send an email to chc london if I can send and receive back our passports in Saudi Arabia as we,ll be there for next 4 months.I didn,t get any reply from them not even an automated reply.

Dear Seniors plz advise me, my documents are received at CIO on 14 april and no PER/1st AOR yet, my wife's passport is about to expire i-e on 26 June whereas my passport will expire on 26th August, what should i do know whether i shall apply for a new passport or shall wait for their reply, or if i apply for the new passport then what should be the next step like where shall i send it's copy.

Dear seniors,
I am still unable to access to my new file no.
My 2nd AOR was dated 14/04/2011.
For how long I shall have to wait to have an access to new file no?
Do new and old file nos run parallel in showing status or there is difference in their status showing?

You have to show the proof of paid employment (By salary slips or bank statement)
Proof of full time employment (Include in the reference letter) CHC considers min 40 h /week as a full time employment
