•CSIS provides security advice on immigration and citizenship matters to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
•CSIS provides security screening on Canadian visitor visa applicants and prospective immigrants in cases where the applicant's background presents security concerns, based on a determination performed in cooperation with CIC officers posted abroad.
•CSIS provides CIC with security assessments on applicants for Canadian citizenship, and advises CIC of any security concerns relating to a particular application.

My passport is going to expire in first week of Nov. my application is ready to send. Can I send it with that passport or I need to renew my passport first because I read some where that passport must be valid for need 6 months.

TCS customer service is very slow. Also the delivery is not in time. No body answers the call at customer service. You will get a reply to your email after two days that we are investigating the issue  . Thats my experience.  |

You never know because one of my colleagues has applied in July 2008 with this NOC, since then he has not received anything from CIU/CHC (either "yes" nor "no"). This delay could be postive sign too. On the other side majority has already received thier refusals within 4 months time from the date of application! All this had happened to those applications applied before November 2008. May Allah bless all those who are expecting postive outcomes from CIU/CHC (Ameen) |

Dear all,
I was informed by HR department that three persons, one man and two women, came to our other office branch today for verifications on me. They did not announce their identity (CHC verification team) till the time our HR manager was with them. They 'grilled' the manager for about half an hour. They demanded contract copies, financial record, printed brochures listing my name in it (which is not our Company policy to print) and old group photographs to identify me as early as my induction date. Contract copy was shown, no group photos to show, financial record can not be shown (Company policy) but was verified. HR manager was thoroughly bugged. My HR manager informs that they were 50-50 satisfied/unsatisfied despite the fact that nothing was hidden from them. They even knew some other old lower level employee from the office (with whom they did not meet during this visit), but mentioned that, "would Mr. so-and-so know me?" I am confused at the type of investigative verification which CHC team carried out. It looks like they are going to do the same at my bank, residence or whoever linked. I have never ever hidden anything in my record, but it is embarrassing for me when they question my staff like this in my office!

1- Your city
2- YOur compnay, whether it is private or a govt deptt. or some sensitive govt agency
3- Your NOC/Occupation
4- The team members were local or foreigner
Dear your reply would help the others to remain vigilent and undertand the current scenario
