I have a question about Application Received date. I have sent my application on 12th August, 2009. How do you guys know that your application is recceived. Do we check it by document tracking that the application is delivered? Yes, DHL normally take 3-5 days or we get any response email/letter from CIO that application is received. No, However you would receive AOR from CIO via e-mail,so keep checking inbox/junk mails, It would take approx. 1.5-2.5 months for AOR keeping in view of current trendI have seen timelines of showing that it is received within a week. Please clarify and thanks in advance. Now i am also in the waiting list and always need your prayers . Also will be praying for all my brothers. Kind Regards, Ahmed Faraz

You can check it on your courier service( TCS, DHL etc) web site by entering tracking number/ consignment number. DHL also displays the name of receiver as well when consignment is delivered to its final destination.
You will be informed by CIO via their email or written letter but that to when they complete initial eligibility review.

There is no difference at all in the testing/marking sysytem of AEO/BC. It is just the perception that AEO is relax than that of BC, and in our world percption sells more than the reality. Due to this perception it is said that numbers of applicants opting for AEO is increasing more than that of BC. And so a 2nd perception is evolving that due to decrease in the number of applicants for BC, the BC has stratred giving higher bands to keep their sales high. In my opinions these are just perceptions/rumors. If u are well prepared/performed well on the test day. Then it does'nt matter whether it is AEO/BC. However, in Lahore the testing facilities of AEO/BC varies in a great extent. AEO Lahore only conducts L/R/W test in PC/Avari Hotel, whereas BC also go for some banquet halls or other centres due to which candidates might fell difference of service. AEO uses audio system for Listening,which is quite comfortable,whereas BC uses headphones which are also quite convenient. Its upto you with which u are comfortable with. The speaking module for AEO is always conducted at their office whereas BC selects hotels/other centres foe this purpose.

Hi Cut, Sorry to make you confused but I was trying to pacify another member who constantly queried me about his qualifications, category, eligibility and the stage of his application (and I later learnt that he still is to make his first time application). I was getting his personal emails as well as messages on this forum, and probably I mixed up the two. Its my mistake and I retrieve my earlier statement. S.K. and Rigmarole are correct in their statements. (S.K. Staes: Only application forms, fee and passport copy at CIO stage. Neither notarized copies of degrees and transcripts nor original at this stage)
{Rigmarole states: With your initial application you do not have to sent any supporting documents except:- 1. Copy of passport( only for principal applicant) 2. Copy of ID card( only for principal applicant) 3. 2 Self addressed labels}
My apologies to you. Wish you good luck, Manj My application package is ready to send (waiting for1st Ramadan) but a POST from “MANJ” confused me, he said
Send only notorized copies of your degrees and Transcripts (not the originals) with your initial application to Nova Scotia, Sydney, Canada. DO NOT send any thing original in your first stage to Canada.
S.K is right, you do not need to send Transcripts in seal University envelope when your case is approved for assessment by Nova Scotia, and you are required to send documents within 120 days after that to Canadian High Commission (CHC), Islamabad .
Manj
What I have learned that at initial stage only application, passport copies, address labels and fee draft need to be sent. But the above post confused me. Can you please help me.

Hi Ja77, This is really very amazing channel could you tell me that where we can write letter for acknowledgement confirmation? Regards, S.J Hi Ja77, I am also of the openion you have thrown to lynx_eyed. Maybe this point (i'm going to open to you) may click some good idea in your minds. "If anyone had applied for PR and before one gets file number applies for withdrawl of application alongwith fee by just writing CIU/CHC a request letter. Shall he attached photocopies of the application as a reference?" If answer is in "yes" then lynx_eyed can do the same but will ask to change correspondance address only..... does it work?
thanks for the well wishes, amerzd i'll post my IELTS result on the forum tomorrow. and lynx_eyed, i believe amerzd has a strong point here. you can do the same and try communicating with CIO the same way amerzd explains. the only difference is that you will not be communicating to withdraw your case, but only to update your visa office. if this doesnt work for you and one day after receiving a response from CIO you come to know that CIO has transferred your file to CHC london, your next point of contact should be CHC london at that time. good luck buddy and keep posting here to let us know of your status.

what are security Checks
•There are three levels of security clearance as defined by the GSP: Confidential (Level I), Secret (Level II) and Top Secret (Level III). The level of security clearance required is determined by the need for access to classified information or assets in the performance of duties associated with an individual's employment. Level I and II security clearances involve checking CSIS databanks. Level III security clearances require a full field investigation, which involves checking CSIS records; interviewing friends, neighbours and employers; consulting with local police; and, possibly interviewing the applicant.

Security Screening is one of the main operational responsibilities of CSIS and among its most visible functions. The goals of the Security Screening program are to prevent non-Canadians who pose security concerns or risks from entering or receiving permanent residence in Canada and to prevent anyone of security concern from gaining access to sensitive government assets, locations or information. It serves as a first line of defence against terrorism. Through its liaison offices in Canadian missions abroad, CSIS performs in-depth examinations of applicants and prospective immigrants whose backgrounds present security concerns
