Amidala...I allready defined the Basic difference between AEO and British Council. They both have the same examination Concept, Marking, and Examintation papers. The only differnce is the enviornment for examination. This is because BC have 5-6 times more candidates as compared to AEO and this way BC Choosses the avaiable venus and looking for a budgted venue. But AEO i think have more budget to hold examination cost and good venus. Good venues means in sense of good services and no guranttee for good results Smiley, but yes sometimes a good enviornment enhances the cadidates performance level..

But be confident and go for BC, Cus it will not directly effect your scoring.

The difference between  BC and AEO is that their speaking tests are separate(although both floowing the same format),both AEO and BC candidiates take all the other three sections together(theres no difference at all in these three sections),now I have appeared two times in IELTS and both times at AEO,theres no doubt that AEO is considered flexible in that speaking section as compared to BC but believe me currently BC has relaxed its markings, although one cant believe that ,it happened cuzz number of applicants have decreased greatly at BC while the Graph just touched the sky in case of AEO, so be relaxed,I know many people who have taken IELTS recently through BC and were awarded bands much more than they expected

so just chill

Doc

this is too early to expect a response from them. the average time for them to respond seems to be 2 to 3 months these days. this time also varies from application to application. they are not going to tell you that they have received the application. they will just inform you via mail or email about the assessment of your application once done. wait for 2 to 3 months before you expect anything from them. good luck.

Dear Aliimran,

I remember some discussion about your NOC category. Have you rechecked that you qualify for the appropriate NOC before applying? Please get some professional advise from some consultant (they generally provide free assessment) to ensure qualification.

Good Luck

Dear manj
I m trying to get as much as info I can get from forum
Consult with an immigration expert is not a problem there are plenty outside but they r good for nothing, u know them they don't tell u something u need to know in your first visit.
I feel more comfortable to ask minor queries from guys on the board, we all share our practical experience here.regards

plz let me know about sending degrees to chc in seald envelope

aliimran,

you need to contact a good immigration lawyer. there are experienced as well as in experienecd lawyers in immigration matter. some people who have landed in canada are trying to act like immigration consultants and are not really qualified to do that. you should check if the lawyer is qualified and has track records.
