Salam everyone,

I wanted to ask if there is a deadline mentioned with the medical request letter (like: if CHC-isb didnt hear from us in a specific period of time, they will consider us as no more interested in immigration)

I am waiting for my medical forms since 15th July but still haven't heard anything from CHC-isb. I fear, if the letter is lost and there is a short deadline in it, it might create problems for me.

regards,

Khalid

thanks Khalid, will do the needful.

Karachi123,

As i said before, Educational requirement has nothing to do with the work experience. One do not need a PHD degree to be Uni lecturer to qualify under NOC code 4121

Operationa Manual for FSW clearly says

Note: For the purposes of skilled worker applications, the ”Employment Requirements” listed in the
description of each occupation are not applicable.

The only scenario i can think of where someone can get 25 points in Education if the bachelors was 3 or 4 years. I got 25 but i had a 4 years engineering degree and one years masters

12+ 4 years engineering + 1 year masters = 17 years to complete masters = 25 points

You can not add multiple masters with 16 years to claim 25 points.

With due apologies, all you education is counted as credit hours and then become number of years. Why don't we consider 14y (for both graduations) + 4y (2 years for each masters)?

Amerzed,

for the purpose of the immigration, the original posted does not have a masters degree with 17 years education. If you clearly read the statement on CIc website for 25 points it says

You have a master's degree or PhD and at least 17 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.

It says "A" master's degree not multiple masters

Hi, I hav submitted my initial application to CIO, Nova Scotia, Canada with a CAD DD arranged from dollar east. the DD will be in the name of Receiver General for Canada. FYI and others, CIC is only accepting application at Nova Scotia for FSW from 1 April 2009.
Hope this will clear your required information, if you need further information, do not forget this forum and post your query anytime. As the founders of this forum have high ambitions to support people anytime they have been asked.

OK azfar, Thakns alot.
Just a little more question. my name is "Zia Ahmed" and Surname is "Shaikh"

The name on all my educational certificates is
Name: Zia Ahmed
Surname: Shaikh

The name written on my NIC is
Name: Zia Ahmed
(There is no surname field in NIC)

The name on my passport is written as:

Surname: Ahmed
Given Name: Zia

Because there's no surname column in NIC, thats why Nadra did not put "Shaikh" in NIC anywhere. While Passport department is only comparing NIC's data, and because there is no "Shaikh" written in it, thats why they did not write "Shaikh" in passport's surname column. Would that be a problem ? Should i ask concerned department to correct it ? or is it OK.

Pls guide,
Zia.

Dear Rigmarole,

Answering your Qs sequentially;

1. Nobody know the answer to this question.....so please wait:)))

2. You should, as a matter of safety and honesty, inform CHC of the change in address. The verification of her residential status, however, is done right here in Pakistan through the database available to them. (BTW, Mississauga is part (Muhallah) of Toronto just as Ajax, Etobicoke or Downtown Toronto itself) Wink))

Wish you luck,

Manj

AoA

I will appreciate if guidance may be provided on following:
1. My application was received on 8th June 09 by CHC Isb but my status is still" Received by Visa Office" kindly let me know til how long this status is maintained & what is done by CHC during this time.
2. My sister has shifted from Toronto to Mississauga do i have to intimate to CHC about the change of address.

Dear Zia sheikh
In my opinion full name ( including all parts 1st name+middle name+last name) should be same on all educational docs+CNIC+Passports +anyother doc evidence.
So in ur case u might face difficulties, It is better to reapply forCNIC+passport to get it included Sheikh.

However it is my opinion and might be wrong others may comments on this

Dear both; iateapple and amerzd,

Please be logical and let us not confuse the applicant (ask4me). The Operational Manual (OP-06), which is instructing the immigration officer, reads;

University educational credential at the master's or doctoral level and at least 17
years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies - 25

There is no "a" or any other letter in that sentence. I would simply assume that he should simply gets 25 points based on his education level MASTERS and year of studies 'AT LEAST' 17 years. Every case is unique and different from others. So I suggest, it would be best for him to consult some professional for certainty.

I am astonished at the attitude of Mr. Karachi1234 who vehemently denies the applicant (ask4me) of opportunity for even considering positive with his following comments;

"ask4immi
You can not apply as a University Professor if you don't have Doctor's Degree.
Please don't misguide to other members if you don't have appropriate knowledge."

I would request him not to give sweeping statement without authority himself. Please do not mix up HRDC job requirement with the CIO immigration qualification requirement. If some confusion prevails in his mind, better ask some seniors or some professional in the field!

With sincere intent for every one,

Manj

Amerzed,

for the purpose of the immigration, the original posted does not have a masters degree with 17 years education. If you clearly read the statement on CIc website for 25 points it says

Karachi 1324+ Amidala.......There are many private univesities in pakistan, Which are allready recognized by HEC. Most of the professors and lecturers are Masters. Now the question is are they eligible to apply under university professors NOC or not ?
