As this time no one can confirm the status of application. yes, u have to wait for few months more.
i think 60 days are given for medical. and medical is valid for 1 year. visa also has a validity of one year. they will let you know the validity and time given to you when they contact you.

Thanks for your reply Kashif. So what you advise me. Should I write to UK office about the present status of my case or wait for another 2, 3 months. My consultant told me that my case is under process in Islamabad office as it is submitted prior to 1st April 2010. However , due to huge volume of work, the processing time has been increased to one year and now i have to wait till feb 2011.
Secondly , how much time is given for medical and then if I get the visa after medical, how much time is available for landing at Canada.

First of all please accept my heartiests congragulation on receiving 2nd AOR. Did you receive it through Pakistan Postal Services or through some corier as my status also changed some three weeks back but sofar i have not recieve 2nd AOR yet.

A question regarding Police Clearance certificate.
I have served in Army for around 11 years from 1989 to 1999 and during that period , I have been posted in around 8 different stations. since, my FA and BA degree are from Pakistan Military Academy, Abbottabad, Junior Cadets Academy, Mangla, it was mandatory to show that am X army personal. I have send police clearance from DIG east, Karachi office as i am residing in Karachi for the last 11 years after getting early retirement from Army. Do i have to send the police clearance in addition to Karachi police clearance. I mean like I was posted to Sibi, Mangla, Azad Kashmir, Gujranwala, Quetta (i have mentioned all these stations in  Military service columns along with the name of unit and commanding officer name. I have also send the retirement orders from army along with my documents.

So is police clearance from all these 8 stations mandatory. Its a huge task .

Since I have not received any letter from London office, should I start collecting police certificates ....

Seniors Please Advice

does two different applicants can gain points for one relative in Canada. I have applied for Canadian immigration and my case in pending review in CHC London , my sister is Canadian Resident and she gave a affidavit that she will bear all my boarding and lodging expenses she has CAD 22,000 in her account.

Does my brother can also mention my sister as relative, as my application is still pending review.

The result of the IELTS - GT taken at IDP Austrailia has arrived. My score is as follows:

Listening:                  6.0

Reading:                    6.0

Writing:                     7.5

Speaking:                   7.0

Overall Band Score:      6.5

I only studied 2-3 Hours to understand the test pattern only. I could not take any study whatsoever and used my present inherent knowledge for the test to assess myself. ( Gosho & tuff guy know about this already ).

I would request for evaluation of the marks by seniors specially.

Nice score.
You will get 12 points out of 24. If you know French you can get 8points but if you don't like most of us you have to get minimum 6.5 in reading, writing and speaking and 7.5 in listening for 16 points.

It totaly depends over the presentation of your documentation..If u have provided them with abundance of documents to prove your employement and organization then job descriptions only left to be verified by CHC and if its not the case then they may opt to go for checks for authenticity of your documents and organization as well...

a)  they normally call once only.
b)  They may or may not contact the signatory...normally they try to verify it from the third person mostly from lower staff like receptionists, clerks and other office staff whichever picks up the phone.
