cyra, going through your message again, i couldn't understand how you calculated your points as 63? mind giving here a complete breakdown? also, the language points are not awarded on the basis of overall band score. you will have to provide your indivial band score for each module of IELTS here if you want us to verify your total score. thanks.

ja77 is correct that only breakdown in each factor can clear actual picture about scores.

You can open USD account not CAD. i have a USD account in UBL
Hi all,

I would like to request the gurus and experts for their advice:

Considering how currency rates have been going, If I open a foreign currency account, should I open it in US$ or in CAN$?

Also, is it okay to open a foriegn currency account in a Pakistan bank (e.g. UBL, Allied Bank, HBL) or should I only open in a foreign bank like Standard Chartered or Barclays or Citibank etc.?

Will be VERY grateful for some guidance?

There is no difference if you open USD or CAD because in the end you will be at no loss.

My input is this that you can open fx account USD, GBP, JYN and Euro in local banks in Pakistan. I have searched all the banks b4 openning my USD account. Some bank may offer you to open fx account other than the mentioned, but the problem you might face is the availibility of the currency notes. if you want to draw all your money, they might ask you for some time to arrange. So i would suggest you to go for Euro or USD at this point.
Also do check HBL, as i have heard that they have branch in USA. When you got your Visa, then there will be no hassle to transfer your fx account to Canada.
amerzd is also right, but the problem is the availibility of the currency notes if you go for other than the major currencies in pakistan.

Salams all,

I have a Masters degree (MBA - 3 years Evening Program ). My previous degree is BS - Computer Engineering (4 years program Regular ) How much points i will get for that Education?

Are there no points for education in evening program or your education with your Job? What about the part time equivalent studies ? Please clarify because i am confused.

Very much valid  and good point which I never knew. Azfar is correct as his findings are based on calculations.

Please don't get confused with words. Here full time study meant "not privately" and on top of all education earned must be recognized by HEC (if in Pakistan). If you come under this criteria then you feel relaxed.

Thank you azfar. Will visit HBL in the coming days and get information. I hope they will accept Pk. Rs to open the foreign currency account. and will not expected that I pay USD$1000 or USD$2000 (cash) just for the account opening.

Appreciate your advice.

Regards.

Question about birth certificates of Kids:

Do they (CIO/CHC) accept the birth certificates of kids that the parents receive from the Hospital or do they only accept birth certificates from Municipal committee office? Will appreciate reply from members who have kids and have applied.

congrats Hot-Lier for your education points.

can you or anyone confirm me this: I know for a fact that CHC Isl requires original transcripts in uni sealed envelopes, however no such indication is found for the degrees and certificates, do we send original degrees too?

also, since I applied to CIO NS, I have continued working, and also enrolled myself for an exam in a professional certification. so should I update this is in my "current activity" portion of schedule 1 background declaration, and sign in the new date when i will be dispatching the package? or need to mention the date when i originally applied to CIO NS.

I would appreciate the response from the forum members, like always.
best of luck to all.
