Dear Saki,

1. Do we need to send Matric and F.Sc degrees, either original or certified copies??

2. The checklist states that we need to send the transcripts of all degrees in original, while for us in Pk, the Matric and F.Sc. degrees show the detailed marks. Should we send them in original?

Please enlighten!

Good Question from aamir waiting for seniors to comments

Dear all, a couple of quick questions please:

1. What is the skill type of NOC-7216? Well, I believe it's B. But for a skill type-B, one should have a college or vocational education or apprenticeship training but I have a university degree. Also the Nature of Education/ Training required for this skill type is:

Two to three years of post-secondary education at a community college, institute of technology or CEGEP
or
Two to five years of apprenticeship training
or
Three to four years of secondary school and more than two years of on-the-job training, specialized training courses or specific work experience.
Occupations with supervisory responsibilities and occupations with significant health and safety responsibilities, such as firefighters, police officers and registered nursing assistants are all assigned the Skill Level B.

as per http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Tutorial.aspx#8

but I have a university degree and my job description exactly matches with the job description of NOC-7216.
I have read at various threads that all that matters is one's job description (keeping in mind that my qualifications are higher than those required for this NOC). In addition, I visited a consultant a couple of months back; he had the same to say! But having read the above description, I've become a little doubtful! Ain't the job description all that matters??

It is always better to have a qualification which matches the NOC you are applying for but its not mandatory, as long as you have the experience you can apply, so you dont need to worry about it. I give you an example most of the people applied in NOC 4131 ( Teachers ) dont have any teaching degree or qualification and they have gone through the process without any problems. But if someone has that degree or qualification then it will definetly help in your application.

2. My spouse is going to accompany me. Can I show her account as a proof of funds or is it mandatory to show only my own bank account??
You can show your wife accounts, you can show the accounts of all those people who are included in the application and going to accompany you.
What you cant show is the joint accounts with someone else who is not included in your application.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

Does the 2nd AOR contain the new immigration file number or it simply gives the same message as having mentioned on the e-case status?
what is the usual format of the 2nd AOR?

Yes 2nd AOR is new file number.

Hi,

I never saw any applicant been refused on this because this requirement is not a mandatory so visa officer cant just refuse visa on this one reason.

It doesn't matter. For your satisfaction read this official information from HRSDC:

Hope it helps

You have to send initial application with full supporting documents excluduing police clearance certificates to CIO first. as u get an approval, CIO will transfer your application data to CHC London. at that time you are required to submitt full application to CHC London in 120 days of approval. CHC has ur approval data so they know that they can process your application.

120 day approval is Old rule, not now for applicants applying on/after 26 June 2010?

Dear all, My permanent address is of Lahore (also mentioned on my ID and passport). But for job, I've been living in another city for around 3 years. I come to Lahore after a month or so for 4/5 leaves.
I went to SSP office Lahore for PCC and submitted everything required. Now my final PCC has been prepared from Lahore.
But when I went to SSP office of the city where I am currently working, the personnel refused outright and insisted that only the SSP branch, Lahore could issue me the PCC, because my permanent address was Lahore. I insisted that since I've been living for more than 6 months in the current city (although I go to leave after a month), I need a PCC from here as well! They are certain that the PCC from Lahore would work for me!
When I asked from SSP office, Lahore personnel about the PCC from my current city, they had the same to say that PCC could only be obtained from the city of permanent address (in my case Lahore).
Please someone clarify! Is the PCC from my permanent address is all that is required by the VO??

Don't do this mistake as it happen to me that you need PCC from all the cities within Pakistan outside Pakistan on which you reside for more than 6 months.

CIC will request again after 3-4 months that you didn't provide xyz PCC. So get it done!
