There is no need to get demand draft for RPRF. SCB will get cash from you in PKR and deposit that PKR in accont of CHC Islamaad and give you receipt for it. You can send copy of that receipt to CHC Islamabad as proof that u have paid that fee.  Although I am still not asked by CHC to deposit that fee but I have alredy paid that fee and sent that slip to embassy as its always refundable.

For initial application fee of CAD 550 you need an instrument (Demand draft) and not deposit that amount in embassy's bank account like in cae of RPRP. That DD should be sent to CIO office in Nova scotia along with your initial application. SCB no longer prepare FCY demand draft for walkin customers. You can open a foreign currency bank account in any bank and ask them to prepare DD for you. There is option of opening USD , EURO and pound sterling for foreign currency accounts in pakistan and you can not open account in canadian dollers. So in my case I have opened USD account in UBL and after a week of opening that accoun i have asked my bank to debit my account nad prepare me a DD in favor of Receiver General of Canada. Even if your account is in USD bank can make a demnd draft in any currency want. Its very easy to open a FCY bank account. Bank asked me to provide them my NIC and salary slip or my company letter and thats it. It was 15 minutes procedure in which you have to fill a form in front of your banker.

For other option of getting that draft from money exchange company I am not sure as before opening bank account I went to few exchange companies but all of them refused saying they were doing this in the past but now a days there is a restriction of govt. and they no longer can do this. They advised me to open my own FCy account which i did.

I do hope all your querries are now answered. Even if there is still some confusion you can ask again :-)

Sorry let me introduce myself. I m Tariq Akram (26 Year old ) Now a days i am working in Afghanistan in some fuels company as a IT Administrator. i have done my BS(4 year from AIOU). My field work start as a Software Development/ Engineering and after that i start work as a "Network System Engineer" in gov sector at 17 grades. but i was not satisfied with that because my skills and my field don't allow me to waste my time and life in gov sector. We can achieve salaries, rest, allot of benefits in Gov sector but not the environment which polish our skills. And i joined this Fuels organization in Afghanistan. Entirely personal preferences!

You know what problem we have in our culture we never want to be a professional oriented we just focus on Job oriented its not our fault its just because financial condition i think... same thing happened to me ...work 2 year as a Software Developer and Software Engineer then turn in to Computer Network. But as a software Developer i got good expertise and now as Networking in computer science. Please recheck your eligibilty points, and your JD thoroughly with your relevant NOC before you apply.

I am thinking to apply for Canada immigration from last 3 days I am reading the this forum posts and I clear many thing in my mind and it's really useful. I complete my forms for immigration but have some confusion. Let me run trough me from these problems.

1-This form (IMM5476E) is for representative. I don't have any one. Is there some problem if I don't have any representative? Will it be useful or not for my application?
There is no problem in having no representative. I believe this form is required only when you are utilizing services of a representative, otherwise you do not submit this form. Seniors please update??

2- Where do u intent to live in Canada?
      Because I don't know which city is best for me for my IT field or for job. Name any. You could choose to re-locate when you end-up there. Just to name a few; Calgary, Toronto, Halifax, Kingston, etc.
3- Visa Office requested for the process of your application?
       Which office I should choose to send my application? I read at CIC site that FSW
       Application should be send some other office not in Islamabad because they are not Directly process the FSW applications. Initial application goes to CIO, Nova Scotia (NS), Sydney, Canada. You would fill in CHC Islamabad in one of the columns of IMM0008E Gen where they ask you to name the "Visa Office requested for the process of your application" and send the application to NS, Canada direct. They will first send you an AOR with a file number, then transfer your file to CHC Islamabad. CHC will send you a second AOR and issue you a new file number, which could take three-four months.
4- The Form (IMM5406E) is about additional family information , instruction about name is to put in English and native language.

     should i fill the name like this ? Evey name my mom , dad, sisters, brothers.

That is correct way. You may also write the name by hand if you like.
You are going to sign on same page by hand anyway!

5- I am in afganistan becuase i dont know my job status for how long i would be here what i should i put my address for mailing and contact number. supose i am putting my Home address for mailing and my Contact number for Afghanistan. if after some time i m moving back from Afghanistan to pakistan then how can i change my contact number.

I suggest that you give both your contact number and address for Pakistan. First, they may not make an international call, second mostly CHC messages are sent either through email or by post/courier. A local Pakistani number (of your father/brother) can get your message and can transmit to you if at all there is one.


Please i am still at initial stage and little bit confused. i want to put my application with out any error and mistake. so please help me.

I am still afraid and looking forward for my ACK. i applied in june but not have received any information from nova scotia.
also please tell me the way how to check the draft has been processed safely. i checked from bank they said that we do not have any status. how its possible that bank dont have any records of cheque/DD/payorder. is it true bank is blind in case of Draft which is made payable to immigration

Also any other way to check status of my case from canada, any fax, phone or email any body experienced?

You just don't need to be worried. You would probably get AOR from Sydney around last week of Aug or in Sep'09.
Just keep checking ur e-mail specilaly the junk folder. Meanwhile confirm ur courier receipt whther it is delivered at the right address.
Bank do have their own system of checking the status of DD but usally they would not give u detail unless u have contacts or effectively pursue themm to do so.
Meanwhile take a chill pill and just relax.
