IELTS Information
IELTS application forms can be downloaded from the
www.ielts.org website. The IELTS test is regularly administered by AEO Pakistan. For information about place availability and test dates, please check our IELTS test dates web pages or contact us by sending an email to ielts @ aeo.com.pk
Registration
Candidates wishing to register for an IELTS test must attach a photocopy of their valid National Identity Card or Passport and two recent color(blue/white back ground)passport size photographs with the IELTS application form. Candidates must write their full name and signature on the reverse of each photograph. One photograph must be pasted securely with glue and the other attached using a paper clip to the IELTS Application form, bank draft/payorder of Rs.12000/- payable to "AEO-Pakistan" from any bank in Pakistan (credit card and cash are not accepted). Candidate can come personally to submit the application. Applications can also be sent through mail/courier
Note: IELTS Registration fee will be Rs.13000 effective from July 2010
Acknowledgement
AEO will issue test date/venue confirmation at the time of registration or will despatch this letter to the candidate by courier/mail. Incase of any confusion kindly contact the appropriate AEO office for clarification.Please note that you must bring these original IDs (passport or national identity card what ever you entered in your application form Coulm 10) at the time of the test.
IELTS Specimen Pack and handbook
The IELTS Specimen Material Pack includes a full practice IELTS test with an answer key and a CD of the listening test. It assists candidates to get some idea of their level and familiarize themselves with the format of the test. Online practice material is available on the IELTS web site

On Test Date
Candidate must report for the IELTS test by 11:55 hours (PST) with their original national identity card and passport, lead pencils, blue or black ballpoint or pen, sharpener, eraser and the . Candidates must bring along the AEO IELTS test fee receipt. Candidates without any one original ID document will not be allowed to take the test and will be marked absent * on the test date. Candidates who arrive late will not be admitted to the test. No result will be issued to candidates who are involved in impersonation and/or misconduct. A malpractice report will be circulated to all IELTS centres worldwide. Before taking the test read the carefully "Notice to IELTS Candidate" available inside of IELTS application form.
Test date extensions
Candidates may delay their test date, for which Rs 3000 will be charged. Extensions are allowed once only and such requests will be entertained if they are received by AEO at least five weeks before the opted test date. Test date extensions within five weeks leading to the test will only be allowed in extenuating circumstances. Candidates will have to submit documentary evidence for approval by AEO. There will be no extensions accepted after the test date has passed. No refund application is accepted after the extension of test date.
Test Results
Test results are announced within 2 weeks of the written examinations. The original IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is sent by courier to candidates at the address entered on their IELTS application form. No enquiries regarding the declaration of the result are entertained over the phone, or by fax or email. Test results will be withheld for candidates who have not submitted the required information/documentation. Candidates are entitled to receive only one original IELTS TRF free of charge. Up to five original TRFs will be mailed by Examinations Services to institutions/Government agencies/professional bodies/employers on behalf of the candidate Only two TRFs will post free of cost provided the details are given in section no 24 of IELTS application form. Candidates requesting that their TRFs be mailed to multiple institutions by courier will be charged Rs.500 per TRF for institutions within Pakistan and Rs. 2000 per TRF for institutions, which are abroad. Rs.500 will be charged if the candidate want to send their TRF overseas by airmail. Extra TRF Applications of Invalid/expired results will not be entertained.
AEO Test centres are able to send candidates their test result by SMS. [SMS Request Form]
IELTS TRFs are valid for two years.
Retakes
IELTS results are valid for two years.
Enquiry on Results (Re-mark facility)
An Enquiry on Results - re-mark facility is available for a fee of RS.10000 (bank Draft/ Pay order) payable to AEO Pakistan. A request of Enquiry on Results must reach AEO Pakistan within 4 weeks of receipt of the TRF. The remark of the candidate`s work is done by IELTS Australia office and it normally takes 7 weeks for such a request to be processed. Enquiry fees will only be refunded if a result is changed.
How to Apply for Remark
Download Application Form. Fill in the form correctly with block letter and clearly encircle the Module you want to remark.
Attach a payorder/bank draft of fee
Attach the Original TRF (kindly keep the photocopy with you)
Send application to the concern office within 6 weeks after the test date.
Test fee Refunds
If a candidate wants to withdraw five weeks ahead of an IELTS test date, administrative charges (Rs.3000) will be deducted from the test fee regardless of the circumstances that the candidate experiences. Candidates must attach the original IELTS fee receipt to their refund application form, which is available at the office. No refund requests will be entertained after five weeks cut off date of an IELTS test date.
A candidate marked absent on the test day will forfeit their full IELTS test fee.
