On March 16, Canadian Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced that the government of Canada is reviewing current immigration procedures to ensure that they continue to meet Canada's economic needs. The review is likely to result in a change in the Federal Skilled Worker program, namely a change in the 38 occupations that are currently ‘open' under this program.

In 2008, new instructions for processing Federal Skilled Worker applications were issued by the Immigration Minister with two goals in mind: to speed up application processing times and to meet Canada's immediate economic needs.

Under those instructions, an application is eligible for processing if the applicant:

1.Has at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in one of 38 qualifying occupations, which were been identified as the most in-demand occupations in Canada at the time; or
2.Has been living in Canada with legal status as a Temporary Foreign Worker or an international student for at least one year; or
3.Qualifies for Arranged Employment with a full-time permanent job offer from a Canadian employer.
According to Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the instructions have reduced the backlog of Federal Skilled Worker applications that were in process by almost 40 per cent.

Presently, Kenney is consulting with federal and provincial government bodies to determine whether those 38 occupations are still highly in demand and whether new occupations need to be added to the list.

“The first set of instructions has had a significant impact, but our research shows it is time to revise them to make sure they continue to meet their goals,” he said.

The consultation period is expected to last until April 16, and any changes to the program will be introduced after that date. While there is no current timetable for that announcement, Canadavisa.com and CICNews.com will report on any changes to the program as soon as they are revealed

Amer:  i paid RPRF 34000 as written on SCB sheet rather than 34300 on Website. plus i paid handling charged 928. SCB said that they cannot take 300 more as only 34000 is written... what do u think is the impact ?

Send doc to CIC Islamabad within 120 days on 12-01-2010 except ielts result
on 23-04-2010 send ielts result with bank statement to CIC Islamabad.

DONT WORRY...Most people send Photocopies and they through...

I hv sent my complete application to CHC ISB without originals and received AOR dated 15-03-2010. Kindly let me know if there still any chance for any requirement for originals or they hv considered it enough for processing??

Moreover, what is recommended for safe side?

i)   should I send these originals to CHC?
ii)  Should E-mail to CHC asking its requirement?
iii)  Should wait until they contact me?

Infact I am worried that it may cause delay in my case.

Yaar Imran,

I called PIPFA KHI, they said that they are still having a dialogue with HEC about the equivalence of PIPFA, but yet not resolved, is there any victim who scored any points in PIPFA yet ? PIPFA is giving me IFAC certification and a proof of that PIPFA is a affiliated with IFAC.

As PIPFA is a 18 months certification but a complete degree, so no one knows any thing about it yet, but some one do please let me know. please please please please please please. PIPFA PIPFA PIPFA. do let me know please any body

one more thing since i am working in a company as Assistant finance manager but in the 0111 category there is finance managers only so what should i do ??

Also i need an expert advise, my aunt is a Canadian national for last 12 years but when she went to Canada she put my mother name as Zahida (Real Birth Name) but her CNIC name is Anila (Marriage Name), what should i do, how should i claim points on that, and do i get any points?

One more thing, i heard that CHC ISB now will not be handling any more cases, instead CHC London is taking all the cases from now onwards, also there is a rule change thingy??? is that true or just a fake voice, ??
