Hi SSKhan,

If you are familiar with Lahore, when you are coming from Anarkali side on the Mall rd towards Data Darbar, there is a crossing known as "Kachehri Chowk" just before turning of Data Darbar. On this chowk, if you turn left, you have the SSP office where they do all the verifications. I believe "Dyal Singh College' is just opposite to it.

I live in Karachi. I got my finger printing done from Police Headquarters. You can do the same in Lahore.
I have a question, does the family whose application for PR gets approved, should land in Canada together or is it possible to land separately.

Thanks for the tip SASIF. Does anyone know where the police head quarter is in Lahore? Also is it easy to simply go there and ask them to do the finger printing exercise or does one need contacts in the police? I will be very grateful if someone can guide where the police head quarter in Lahore is.

Dear Members,

Just going throuh the proceedings of CHC, Islamabad 5-6 months back, seems they are flying. The past 2 months are considerably slow, what you people expect, in the coming 2-3 months, will the speed of CHC will improve in regard to the applicants who are in their last or second last stage of process.

Hello all. At the moment I am just gathering information and will formally start the process once I have gathered all details with complete clarity. I have some questions and will be thankful for help:

Some questions:

• What do these terms mean? I see them in almost every post: CIO, AOR, CHC Islamabad, 120 day letter, payment of RPRF
• When sending documents to the Canadian Embassy, do we have to send original documents e.g. Birth certificates of kids, experience letters, degress, IELTS score? I am a little worried but assume that at one stage they return all the original documents?
• When sending proof of funds in a bank account, do we have to send the account statement report for past 3 or 4 months OR can we simply get a letter signed from the bank manager (on bank letter head) saying that Mr. XYZ has X amount of Rs. in his account (which will also be mentioned)
• I remember reading somewhere that they do not accept certificates etc. in a national savings center (Quami Bachaat centers). Is this correct?
• When sending the complete package (containing) all the original documents, funds related proof, marriage certificate, police report, etc. etc, should these be sent via TCS or some other courier service? I have come across many posts related to TCS tracking numbers and got the impression that most people are not happy with TCS and some also ended up loosing documents???
• If you can think of any important document that I forgot to mention above, can you please highlight that
• Do we also have to get a English translation of our NIC's?
• From where can we get English translation of our marriage certificates ("Nikah Namas")
• At what stage does one go for medical test? I assume that the applicant gets some email or a letter from the Canadian embassy providing complete details regarding which doctor to visit on a given date and time for the medical test?
• What is the cost of Medical examination for 2 adults and 3 kids and do we have to pay the cost of the Medical examination to the doctor who conducts the exam or

Dear SSKHAN
1- Acnowledgment of Receipt. Canadian High Commission, Islamabad
2- Send them origional Certificates they will return you with Provisional acceptance.
3-They need Bank Statement. Bank Certificate can be used a additional document, you can request Bank Manager to mention the amount in your account in C$ as per current exchange rate on BANK CERTIFICATE.
4-They want sattelment funds only in form of Cash in your bank. But you can declare other savings also. Even I have got a cash value certificate of my insurance policy and declare it. This all should be after fullfiling the minimum amount required in CASH.
5-TCS is good.
6-All the documents in urdu must be translated in English. Submit the original (in urdu) along with its translation.
7-Nikah Nama's translantion form is available at any person selling forms outside the City Courts. you can find some typest there who can fill this for use.
8-After provisional approval, next stage is medicals. CHC will send detail information for conducting medicals.
9-Cast will be given in the instruction you receive.
10-Yes, to the doctor.
Please Notarised all the copies of documents not the originals

Awaiting a few documents e.g. police clearance certificates etc. Once received, will submit the full application by the end of August to CHC Islamabad.... INSHA'ALLAH.

thanks amerzd . i guess High proficiency in Listening module starts from 7.5 and above that's why i calculated 2 points in Listening. makes total 14. but i am happy with my results anyway .
