As far as i understand, it is clearly mentioned in the CIC's website that applications received ON OR AFTER 01 APRIL 2010, will be forwarded to CHC London. If this is so, you ll most probably receive your AOR soon from CHC London, but obviously it will take little more time than it could have been from Islamabad. Wish you best of luck.
Thanks bro AFS:
But i am confuse that if it will be processed in London then who will forward it to London, Visa office islamabd or who?
any ways thanks

Looking at the current trend it can be around 6 to 8 months.

But you can get early, since chc-isb has shifted its work load to chc-london. just stick to this forum and you will have clear idea about whats happening at chc.

Hi All
I want to ask two questions

1.  Should i paste the photos on the forms, I am submitting my final application?

2.  The employment letters should be notarised. But usually the employment reference letters do the same purpose.  The London office demands the original reference letter.  Should the job reference letters be notarised if i do not submit the employment letter?

Hi All,
My 120 days limit is ending in mid of June. I need 10 points from IELTS. I appeared in IELTS exam few days back. But due to some hearing problem, I lost the first part of the listening module. Resultingly, I got nervous and panicked making the worst of my IELTS listening and reading modules. Result was horrendous:  L3.5, R4, W7, S7 fetching me meager 9 points falling short of 01 point. My points are 66 at the moment.
What should I do? Should I send my docs using this IELTS result expecting that the visa officer would be flexible keeping in view that a person who gets two 7s cannot fall to 3 and that there may be some problem with him and why not call him to interview?
Secondly, my husband got 8.0 in IELTS back in 2006. His case is in process with CHC Islamabad ever since 2006. Can my visa officer take a lenient assessment of my case keeping in mind this and assign me one more point?
your valued comments are highly appreciated....
I would suggest to repeat IELTS.

Yeah, Standard Chartered is providing the facility to get a Bank Draft made. All you need is, to go to the bank, and tell them that you wanna get a draft made to be sent to CIO, Canada. They ll guide you, theirselves.
I sent my application through DHL. FedEx is also there. Both are reliable services.

Standard Charter Bank does not provide facility to make a foreign currency demand draft untill and unless you have foreign ccurrency account in that bank, so try to make it from exchange company

Ministerial Instructions - Clarification on continuous full-time experience and break in continuity of employment
Purpose
The purpose of this operational bulletin is to clarify the requirement in the Ministerial Instructions (MI) that Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applicants in the SW1 category must have one year of continuous full-time (or equivalent part-time) paid work experience in the last ten years in one or more of the occupations listed in the MI. This also clarifies the issue of breaks in continuity of employment for both SW1 and SW3 applicants.
Background
The MI state:
“Applications from skilled workers with evidence of experience [ Note 1 ] under one or more of the following National Occupation Classification (NOC) categories...”
Instruction
Effective immediately, the requirement of having at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the last ten years in “one or more” NOC code in the MI means that an SW1 applicant may use any combination of full-time or part-time work experience in more than one eligible NOC category in the last 10 years in calculating their one year of continuous work experience, as long as their experience adds up to at least one year.

For example, an SW1 applicant would be eligible under the MI if they had 7 months of full-time (or equivalent) work experience in NOC 6242 immediately followed by 10 months full-time (or equivalent) work experience in NOC 6241 in the last 10 years. Experience accumulated in each NOC counts towards calculating one year of continuous experience. It is not necessary for the NOCs to be in related occupations, as long as all NOCs are listed in the Ministerial Instructions.
Previous instructions that an applicant cannot make up the one year of continuous full-time employment experience in a series of continuous periods of employment in different occupations that total one year are revoked (see OB 93 – question 5, OB 101 – question 5).

Instructions on how to proceed with applications that were previously found ineligible for processing for this reason will be issued in a follow-up operational bulletin. Until instructions are issued, please direct your questions about how to handle such requests to your Regional Program Advisor.
Break in continuity of employment (SW1 and SW3)

For applicants in the SW1 category and temporary foreign workers in the SW3 category, anticipated short breaks between jobs are acceptable. For example, if an applicant is employed in one occupation for a 4 month contract and before the end of that contract, has secured other employment that will begin shortly after the end of the first contract, this break in continuity would be acceptable. For SW1 applicants the occupations must be one that is listed in the MI.

For further information on the procedures outlined in this operational bulletin, please contact your supervisor or your Regional Program Advisor (RPA). RPAs may in turn contact Operational Management and Coordination Branch at OMC-GOC-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca.

Dear All members who Applied before April to CIO Nova Scotia and are directed to send their applications to CHC Islamabad:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2010/ob198.asp
Operational Bulletin 198 – April 1, 2010
Transfer of Economic Class Applications from Islamabad to London Issue

@ AMH, thanks bro for sharing this.

I believe the mystery of (ISB or LONDON) should be resolved with this bulletin and no confusion should be left whatsoever after this. From above bulletin, what I understand is that we can send full application to ISB as well as to London directly, as ISB would eventually transfer it to London.

So, I am of the view that "Money-Centric" applicants should choose ISB while "Time-Centric" applicants should choose London, the choice is yours. I would personally go for London in couple of days INSHALLAH.

Thanks AMH once again.
