Check my post dear, he got SELDEC=4..... Anyways, our letters clearly states that its been reviewed and found eligible for further processing..... The pre Feb 2008 applicants cases, which were not reviewed and VO didnt make any decision yet were returned... however as per new updates... Visa offices are asked to continue entertaining those cases too, till they get any update otherwise...

You have mentioned in your profile that you did not submit any IELTS result but only "WRITTEN STATEMENT", as far as i know written statement can be given for your second official language for the first one third party exam results (such as IELTS) must be presented. In the case of written submission the visa officer has authority to accept or reject it, secondly written statement is accepted from individuals living in a country where that language is spoken. I believe that your IELTS result is missing and that is the reason why they have refused your application.

Dear Brother,

It is not refused but, only INCOMPLETE APPLICATION.
They made the decision immediately once reviewed is completed, seems they were unable to process on the basis of information available with them and it was communicated by CIO earlier.

Important question is where my documents are?Huh? Shocked

As far as IELTS result is concerned, You are right that I had to send with application.
But problem is that they are saying "They have not received my full application" as stated in their letter which was received yesterday. However, ECAS status telling some different story.

It is clearly illustrated, that they could not find my complete documents in my file lying with them. So, IELTS related matter could have been secondary one and there are no matter of refusal as they committed to make refund in 8 to 12 weeks.

you and me, we both have the same time-line and NOC, but I am still RBVO (my second file number doesn't even work), and you have been assessed. My advice to you is to apply for study visa.

Thanks for advise.
I am 43 years of age.

Can VO believe that purpose of traveling is STUDY only?

Sir- In my opinion, others may differ, they screen papers to decide the claim of points and if they dont find IELTS, they will not award you Language points this could result in subtraction of your language claimed points and hence they decide it not eligible for further processing..... If any application is claimed not to be processed on eligiblity, they return the funds...

yes you can go for study at any age, but you should have a solid reason for studying, a degree related to your field, such as "master of risk management" but more importantly go to a proper university not colleges. If you have admission in a proper university with the funds to pay your fee the VO does not mind, problem is when people apply to colleges for 7 or 8 month diplomas that makes the VO suspicious.

Hi,

I was reading through canadavisa.com's pages about applying as a refugee in Canada. While quite a few of my questions about entering Canada as a refugee got answered through this forum, but I couldn't know much about the tested procedure for a Pakistani claiming as a refugee. I have a few questions in this regard. I hope you won't mind spending some minutes to answer them:

1) How did you reach Canada? Were you on Canada's visit visa? Should I get a visit visa too and then claim as a refugee at the airport? Is there any other method (such as fake Canadian passport etc.) which would be better than coming to Canada through a visit visa?

2) After claiming as a refugee, is it 100% sure that canadian airport authorities won't deport me back to Pakistan? Would I need an immigration lawyer/consultant/attorney to file a refugee application on my behalf?

3) When filing for my refugee application, can I name or include my parents as well? so that when I be given permanent residentship (after my case/interview becomes successful), they are also given PR status in Canada.

4) I have read on the forums that after applying as a refugee, I can get work permit and study permit as well. The question is that, if I would be allowed to work full-time (40-hours a week) with the refugee work permit? Also, would I be able to afford my expenses through that job?

5) Do you recommend that I should bring my parents with me as refugees or should I bring them later (as I would have already named them in my refugee application).

Anxiously waiting for your detailed answers to my above questions.

Regards,
Ali

Zashan,

If you are applying through lawpoint.ca, then you dont need to have paypal account. You can still pay through pay pal by using link from lawpoint.ca. For others i dont have any idea. I applied for caips in April 2011. Nothing was there at that time. Now thinking off.
