when  our  turn  will  come up?

any idea/ assumption when  i can  get some  updates/ medical  from london VO.  Ordered  CAIPS on June 2011(no  points awarded  that time). Shall  I order another CAIPS now?  any Harm?

One friend had asked for time line, so here is my online status:
We received your application for permanent residence on November 5, 2009.
 

 We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 17, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
 

 Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
 

 We transferred your application to the London England office on February 24, 2010. The London England office may contact you.
 

 We transferred your application to the London England office on July 27, 2010. The London England office may contact you.
 

 Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 24, 2012.

I received letter dated 5th March 2012 from VOL asking for new application form, Background declaration, Updated police certificates for me and other 18+ family members and ofcourse medical reports. I hav also been asked to pay rprf and supp travel decl form.

My current status is that we got medical done on 16th and 19th April 2012, I have arranged for certs from banks etc for proof of sufficient funds, I need to arrange valuation of my property. (Can some one tell me whether we have to give proof of funds for minimum settlement fund requirement or for the full amount in C$ declared in the form as free unencumbered funds available for trf?).

I have one impediment which I need to share, I just noticed that DOB stated in my wife's PP is wrong because her CNIC only stated year of birth therefore, PP authorities by default stated date and month as 01-01-xxxx instead of correct date and month.

I informed IOM re the discrepancy and they after verifying my wife's DOB, birth Cert, PP and CNIC agreed to proceed with the med, however, they advised me to get the discrepancy removed to avoid any delay from VOL.

I got the CNIC done and now I hav to get the PP amended. I am thinking of sending corrected docs to VOL along with clarificatory letter so as to reach VOL before expiry of 90 days.

I shall be grateful for advice and opinions.

Yesterday one of my relatives received refusal letter who applied in 2009. Kindly guide me in relation to appeal process, similarly following are his educational credentials.

10 years - Matric
3 Years - Electrical diploma
2 years - B.A
2 Years - M.A

Total 17 years of vertical education.

He calculated 25 points for education whereby visa officer granted only 20 points for education.

Kindly assess educational points & share simple way to appeal in CIC Islamabad.

His BA and MA are regular or private ? private  will not be counted, unless he has got a regular education in the end

according to the education record given above that is

10 years - Matric
3 Years - Electrical diploma
2 years - B.A
2 Years - M.A

this is only equal to 16 years of education. The immigration officer awards points for the highest degree achieved, in your case it is M.A. and the 3 year electrical diploma before B.A. will be considered equal to 2 year F.A. as it is not necessary to do this diploma to get admission into B.A. If your relative had studied further in electrical filed then this diploma would have been counted as 3 year education. If some one has done 2 degrees of M.A. only one will be considered. Lodging an appeal in your case will not be of much help

according to Canadian law education points for immigration are awarded as follows:

78(2) A maximum of 25 points shall be awarded for a skilled worker's education as follows:

 
(a) 5 points for a secondary school educational credential;
 

(b) 12 points for a one-year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university educational credential, and a total of at least 12 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies;

 
(c) 15 points for
(i) a one-year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university educational credential, and a total of at least 13 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies, or
 
 
(ii) a one-year university educational credential at the bachelor's level and a total of at least 13 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies;

it is very significant, it means your case has been handed over to an immigration officer to start work on it. What is your time line and NOC please share.

I am Pre juner. Status In process with RBVO details. History shows that people who got similiar ecas had to face rejection(e.g. Nadeemjee, MSmirza etc). Any idea?
