New immigrants must be employable, have ‘language proficiency': Jason Kenney
By targeting younger and more language-proficient immigrants, a “transformational” package of immigration reforms promises to end the “vicious circle of unemployment” for newcomers, says Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney.

“For too long the story of immigration to Canada has been summed up by the frustration of the highly trained professional who arrived with the expectation of being able to work at his or her skill level,” he said, addressing the Canadian Club of Toronto on Monday.

“We're going to stop this practice of inviting highly trained people to come to Canada if they don't have jobs or they're not likely to succeed in the labour market.”

Bro what stands for RPRF.?
Would appreciate if everyone tries to write the complete word, rather an abbreviation.

As the medicals have started receiving, there are alot of silent applicants who are visiting this site, and complete word would help them to understand whats going on...

Thanks

Today I received my original document and Refusal letter . Points they assessed are as follows.

Age             21
Education   22
Language    10
Experience    19
Adaptability    04 (spouse education)
Total      65

I have been working as a Project Manager since May 2007 and they gave me only 19 points of exp instead of 21, They count only 3 years of experience . I just want to ask whether they count the Exp when they receive the application or when they assess the application.  I have more then  4 years of exp (from May, 2007 to Till date)  and they received my application in Feb 2010. So according to my assessment the total points of my Exp should be 21 instead of 19. The total points should be 67 but they gave me only 65 points . Should i send them appeal .  please advise me seniors

Sorry to hear about your refusal after waiting such a long time. Actually you made a mistake in calculating your experience points. Points are assessed when your application reaches at the VO not when they review. your experience will be calculated from May 2007 to February 2010 when your application reached to the VO, which is 2 years and 9 months. VO has calculated your points according to rules but you miscalculated it.

Thanks Usman799

Well what the seniors say?

1. How much time will authorities take to visa issuance after submission of medical?

2. Those who are receiving medicals + updated docs (documents) + police reports + RPRF (Right of permanent residence fees) and No updated bank statement And No original documents returned. What should those applicants think, whats going on and what would be the decision?

Note: Going through page 1980 and onwards I came to know that verifications can be done even after medical, but what would the experts say for those who are also receiving medical + landing fee?

Thanks

nothing can be said keeping in view the current situation at LDN VO. Because Minister Jason Kenny wants to clear the back log specially MI 1 and Pre 2008 applicants. That's why CHC LDN's current processing behavior is fast and unpredictable. I have noticed that thy are processing cases NOC wise, not First in first out basis. Some NOC has lesser time while some has longer time lines. As far as verification is concerned, After getting any sort of update the chances are less but anything can be happened. so you cannot relax after Medicals.

for all members who got refusal please keep in mind VO will only reopen cases rejected due to wrong calculation of points or any other reason that not involve any analytical or personal view point of VO. so only send review requests to VO on logical reasoning otherwise it will be only wastage of time.

VO will not reconsider Duties mismatch issue and will not respond your inquires so i suggest without wasting time contact any Canadian Lawyer spend 250$ of consultation fee and discus with lawyer in detail that what are strong points in your case to win appeal from Federal court.

its just my observation and view point.

Cheeta

Well said, this can be verified by pattern as well.. Initially they started to refuse on points and now duty mismatch as they must got bulk of logical appeals against their decision
