InamRaheem,

0213 is one of the most flooded NOC's, Applicants of this NOC tops in the top 5 list of highest number of applications on hand by CIC. Previously from 2008-2011, they have issued numerous MR's to applicant of this NOC. So they are very cautious now and sending MR's to those 0213's those they think would be highly qualified and skilled.

Don't worry It'll be In-Process very soon and you'll get MR or updated Doc. request. Just pray vehemently.

My In process with RBVO details was on ecas for almost 1 year and then changed

A "decision based on selection criteria" means that an immigration officer:

•has assessed your FSW application against the points grid, and
•has made a decision on whether or not you meet the selection criteria of the program.
Currently, the pass mark is 67 points out of a grid worth 100 points. The grid considers the person's:

•ability in English and/or French
•education
•work experience
•age
•whether they have a job already arranged in Canada (arranged employment), and
•how well they might adapt to living in Canada (which awards points for things like previous work or study in Canada, spouse's education and relatives in Canada).
If your application is successful, you would move to the next phase (i.e. admissibility). At that point you would be checked against health, security and criminality requirements before being allowed to enter Canada.

If you do not score at least 67 on the FSW points grid, your application would be refused and CIC would inform you of the decision.

Guys I found the following on web where a former visa officer is advising people not to order CAIPS unless it is absolutely necessary. Please check the link. Please comment if any body wants to. Thanks

 CAIPS check
Does checking the file status via CAPIS has any harm to my file?

thanks for your help.

 Re: CAIPS check
IT is not wise to get your CAIPS file unless there is obviously some problem
with the processing, such as very lengthy delays beyond the published times.
Don't ask for it just to find out how things are going.

 Re: CAIPS check
Thank you so very much for your kind reply. The only reason I wanted to check is because at the time of interview they told me that in less than 2 months I shall get my visa, but more than 3 months has passed and no news. When I contacted the embassy by email, was told that "the verfication of my file is not finsihed yet and is expected to be finished in Feb. 2004". I do not know why suddenly the process is prolonged.

Once again thank you for your reply and I would greatly appreciate to learn about your comments about my case.

Mr. Humphries, what is the reason for this? Is it monetary or does it affect
anything?

 Re: CAIPS check
It is an inconvenience for the visa office and provides little useful
information when there is no problem to solve. Also, it is full of short
forms and local office terminology that is difficult to understand.

The Only problem for the VO is that they need extra time and some physical work to do to fetch the File from the location where the files are kept. Employees never like to be overworked. lol. Visa officers probably dont get paid for processing CAIPS. CAIPS are glued with the files and initially this is fetched from Ottawa.

I dont see why people shouldnt order CAIPS as you just said, for obvious reason(s).
