Salaam,

I have sent my complete file on July 2009 to Islamabad office which were further forwarded to London office on June 2010. I am waiting since then. I have also sent my original educational documents on Nov. 2009 and those docs are with London Office. I have requested 3rd time to ask when I receive back my original docs but no response received yet. please help.

My e-cas is as follows:

We received your application for permanent residence on February 20, 2009.
 
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 3, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
 
Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
 
We transferred your application to the London England office on March 9, 2009. The London England office may contact you.

We are in the same boat brother. My timeline is similar to you.

Regarding the original documents. they usually return the original documents if you ask for them. Send them email specifically requesting return of your original documents. they will return it through courier.

Dear Raza,
             It is not recommended to ask for the returning of original docs before you receive medical request & Background checks get complete. Otherwise it may turn into refusal. During in-process state VO need originals to verify background check, but if he don't have those then how would he verifies. Well, decision is yours.
By the way what originals you need most...

LONDON Visa office  them self (without asking) returned  my original Education Document in March 2011, after 1 and a half year of custody,

and in  replay to my recent  query they informed that they are awaiting results of routine background checks .....!

What checks they are doing now.....?

Besides education they have other things to verify like experience, adaptability, POF, etc.

Well it shouldn't lead to refusal but I have seen one case on this forum that's why I was saying it's a risk. Anyway if someone genuinely need it then s/he can communicate with VO.
