Congrats mate,
you saying that previously your IN PROCESS status online was displaying RBVO details in description body before getting new line added on 9th May? Actually this is what with me these days, though I havent found any new line saying processing started from XYZ date yet but my online status turned to IN PROCESS last week and thats what I am confused about. Plz share ur experience.

You are unnecessarily worrying about. E-cas is now a days erratic due to the files transferred to GCMS [Global Client Management System]. The processing has not yet started on your case. You should wait for the processing date mentioned inside. You must be cleared from barthal post. Keep your fingers crossed.

I got the reply today.....

Dear Madam / Sir,

This is in response to your enquiry.

Your documents have been received and placed on file. No further action is required by you at this time.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.  Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
Yours sincerely,

Now a days CIC London is replying the same to everyone. It is expected that they may take 24-36 months to finalize the cases.

This is disappointing.....this confirms the apprehensions of applicants with NOC's that have been discontinued post june 26th that they have been sub-prioritized......and this means that we will have to wait for another two years.

Indeed! but i don't understand why is it going to take that long, as the number they mentioned (1,44,000) is not for any specific Visa Office, i suppose its a total figure from all the Visa Offices around the world. This is my guess as us London office applicants and the New Dehli applicants, both have received this similar reply. The can get it over with if they wanted to, but anyway the ball has always been in their court.

I guess you would not wait for that long because your occupation is included in priority list.

To everyone,

Very strange.

What does it mean, will they busy themselves in reducing the backlog first?

thanks for your reply

That's what I was saying.  Previously status was actually RBVO irrespective of mentioning "In-process",  the actual processing starts now when the processing date reflects inside.
You should ready for the verification call within a week or so and soon get a medical request.

GoodLuck.

24-36 months wait, from when? Do they mean from date of application filed, date of 2nd AOR, or from today !

Plz share your understanding as I'm not actually getting right mean of what they have written "will have to wait for 2 years or more"

Thanks.

From the date of 2nd AOR. 24-36 months for the whole process, means issuance of PR within that time period.

canada1234
please help me out here......
my 2nd AOR came on aug 11th 2010....
I have just found out that the docs we submitted for 'proof of relationship' were insufficient. I have written to London VO about the status of my application and they received that letter on May 9th 2011.
Should i now wait for them to get back to me? or should i send those docs anyway? i have also requested CAIPS......but dont know how long that will take.....

thanks

Not sure if that will be the case, as my application is considered to be under Pre-June policy and in a cue of course.

I guess you would not wait for that long because your occupation is included in priority list.
