Hello Friends:

I thought of initiating this new topic for all those Pakistani applicants who applied before February 27, 2008 at CHC Islamabad under FSW category when Simplified Application rules were introduced. Those applicants who applied in first half of 2007 are particularly invited because that's when I did. Lets share our thoughts coz we know that CHC islamabad is not gona share their internal matters/policies. Please share where you stand today. Inform each other of your complete time line. This would help applicants from that period know how things are going down there at CHC islamabad.

Regards

Cancon

Good Day To All Friends,

Dear All SAP applicants from Islamabad,
I have a good news for you, I am also 2007 applicant and received documents update letter by e-mail in Feb,2011 asking me to send all supporting documentation in original form within 60 days including IELTS result. As the nearest exam date  for IELTS was May 7th , I got on- month time extension   for submitting the documents. I sent all of documentation on May 10, and asked the British council by e-mail to send my result directly to CHC in Islamabad, but I have not received any confirmation yet.

Today I got my IELTS result online which is 6 as follow:

reading 5.5
Listening 6
writing 6.5
speaking 6.5

Could any one from this forum would help me for its score that how much will I score form IETLS result.
and what is the next stage for processing the application.

thanks and pray for you too to get such letter soon.

Best,

I applied in April-2007, and then AOR received after a month May-2007, in which they mentioned tentative time frame of 48 months to process.
Then I had correspondence at different occasions with CHC Islamabad.
Now as per latest:  I am still awaiting (even its more than 48 months but no sign from CHC)
However, they wrote that my file has been transferred to CHC London in January-2011.

I believe it will take further 2-3 years for CHC to start processing.  I know few people who applied in 2004-2005 and they just reached at medical stage.

This is not to depress you... but this is reality it will take further time.

This is a very bad news for old applicants and  we all have to support  the aggrieved parties.

There are followig points from my side for legal case:

1-Why the minister did not look at the backlog pool applicants for professions in demand  before picking the categories for professions in demand  for M1,M2, M3.??This is huge negligence on thier part.

2-If the minister had taken this decesion to return  the back log applicants in June 2010,before the announcement of M1, M2, M3
categories , the old applicants could apply in new categories, but now they cannot apply as thier categories have dropped from the lists ,by doing that the minister  has spoiled the future of old applicants which is not totally thier fault. This fact should be put before the parliament.

3-what a huge comparison that at one side the immigration department of canada has admitted that thousands of  immigrants have obtained canadian   nationality by Fraud in past and the department has done nothing  against them whereas on the other side there are innocent applicants before 2008 who are waiting since 6-7 years and want to contribute to canadian economy by fair means , but without  thier fault they are being punished.

4. I think a competent lawyer should win this case. Because in Uk it was happened in "Judicial Review" in HSMP cases.

reply of letter from member of parliament.
=========================

Good Morning,

Thank you for taking the time to write to me with your concerns about the decision to return all Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications that were made prior to February 27, 2007.

I agree that this approach is grossly unfair to people who have been planning to make a new home in Canada. The people who are affected have followed all the rules, done everything we have asked of them and waited patiently, for up to 8 years, for us to uphold our part of the bargain.

Legislating away the backlog in this manner is an admission of failure on the part of the Government. Instead of addressing the backlog, the Government is simply pretending it does not exist. This policy essentially allows those who applied since early 2008 to queue jump ahead those who applied before. This is not fair.

Recently, the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration conducted a study and made several recommendations on how to reduce the backlog of applications. We proposed several prudent and sensible ways to address the massive backlog. The Minister has chosen to ignore all of these proposals and proceed with a scheme that will destroy the plans and dreams of thousands of people who have prepared make Canada their home.

Thank you again for taking the time to express your concerns. If you have not already, I strongly suggest you write to Minster Jason Kenney and the Prime Minister to let them know your objections.

Warm regards,

Don
