I hav similar timelines. I hv just sent PCC & bank statement(again) to CHC london. I m december 2010 applicant. My app status is in process since 19 july 2011. On same day they sent me e mail for abov mentioned documents. I guess now would be time for medicals? Can anyone tell me how much. My timelines r in my profile info.

Well! I tend to differ on the idea listener . Usually VO doesn't wait till the deadline (BFD) specially when you send the required docs quite fast I personally have experienced it. For further reference see the link below http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/what-is-bfd-explained-t39705.0.html;msg269069#msg269069In my view, besides many other factors, speed of our cases also depends on the batch of applications VO is focusing on during a certain time period..... And it can vary from quarter to quarter depending on VOs internal system. You may have noticed it by the trends/responses people are sharing at the forum. e.g. Yes! post june 2010 and 2011 is priority for this year but at the same time VO london has taken along certain numbers of pre june 2010 applicants during last quarter and response for post june was not that high.....Just sharing my view point to add in the collective wisdom cheers |

You are right Nashe! A small % of applicants get job verification - JV calls/contacts. Please see it in the following context As a principle, VO seems to follow it on the basis of two things; a) the % of total applicants (at random) they would prefer to verify. b) the worth of 'effort and reliability equation' they foresee of such verifications of applicants from a certain country of origin. In addition, for a specific case, they may also consider that how much and reliable information they are getting from independent and secondary sources. (e.g. web published company /individual profiles and its cross verification from other authentic professional sources like authorized publications/registrations from Govt. Audit companies educational institutions etc). In this cyber world, it is not a big deal once they have deployed comprehensive systems and tools to extract and analyze such information. Last but not the least is the documents we send them with our applications ( e.g. Appointment letters, JDs etc.).... Visa officers are well trained and experienced to judge them with high rate of accuracy that whether the application requires verification and how extensive it should be. Just few cents from my side!
