Alhamdulillah got my PPR2 last night....!!!!

Dear Someone,
Congratulations on finally receiving your PPR 2!!!! this really is the time that u have been waiting for two years or so, so do enjoy this moment!!! 
well as for me, i m still waiting for MR.. ( 
however, i did receive arequest from CIC to send them the updated Schedule A and new photographs in June which i have sent already.. they gave me 30 days to send them, so do u think may be they'll review it on the 30th day and may be i can get the MR soon after the 30th day? 
well again congratulations to u.. so when r u planning to move and where??

Inshallah u'll be getting ur MR soon....processing should be speeding up now....u should send a query now and then to LVO on the "re-london" email address...I sent quite a few...and got quick responses from them via that email address.....just be nice in ur email and request them to update you regarding ur case....and thank them for their support and stuff...u know...

As for where I am planning to move....initially to Toronto...will see after that....will be looking for a 2 Bed apartment in some area where they have good schools......maybe Oakville, ON or Burlington, ON.......baki Allah malik hai !!!

Will just go with the flow  Lets see where I end up.....the biggest task at hand is wrapping up here in Pak....and to get all finances together....need a BIG cash flow in order to sustain myself and my family....

Has anybody had any experience in opening a bank account in Canada from here?? If not.....how do you plan to take your funds with you??

You can't all be carrying cash.....right??

please any one have any experience on my case

i got approval on reconsideration ... CHC admitted their mistake
i received that email on 13 June following that my ecas status changed to in process again from DM

when i will be advised for next processing steps... MR or  updated documents....

I don't think from Pak, we can open bank a/c in Canada
+ THERE IS A RESTRICTION and you cannot carry more than 10,000 USD ~ CND
Few crazy folks try it and get away by chance -No point of trying this coz if God forbidden you get checked, they'll simply book you and confiscate the amount temporarily until you face charges in court and pay the fine.

How to transfer funds then: One solution I could figure out after some discussions here and there is;
- Carry around 5000 CND per person in cash and for the rest of funds
- Open foreign currency (USD/EURO) account (FCA) in any good bank here in Pakistan
- Converts PKRs in USD/EURO from open market (risky but have to) and deposit in FCA
- Get a bank of daft issued in favour of your name just a week before your departure
- Once you reach and open a bank a/c, deposit the draft and you'll get your money there
Alongwith 20-30% cash in hand, bank draft should be acceptable as proof of fund at PoE.
Please suggest if someone has better ideas on this

completed my landing on July 3 at Toronto.
Open one bank account today and deposited amount in it.
Have another evening appointment for account opening at TD bank.
Well, I act like crazy people (as said darwaish) and carry all POF as cash.
Immigration process was very quick and smooth at Toronto airport and we (family of 4) completed Landing experience in 20 min.
they just asked question....nothing checked by IO nor by Custom Officers.

No it is not necessary. If you keep, it gives an additional proof of your POF. The genuineness of your job or business.

Thanks for your input...will try to find some more info...I read that HSBC does it...but not sure...will call them sometime..
