what is GCMS ?

dear its a new version of CAIPS.....by ordering your GCMS notes you can know the exact status of your file and what has been done so far and what checks you have passed or where you are having problems..go throught he following link

CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system historically used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada), other than new applications at offices which have switched to using the 'GCMS' system.

i would like to be included in the spreadsheet for pakistan applicants.
my timelines are as under:
application recieved: 25th august 2011
date of encashment: 13th November 2011
PER recieved: 16th November
2nd AOR: 23rd January 2012 (i came to know about it through an email reply from LVO regarding my case specific enquiry)
ECAS status: In process since 18th November 2011.

first of all thanx for uploading the file again.. now if only u can explain me the process of updating file, i will do it as a volunteer..  
 @  Cocknbull, u are really keping this thread alive and i really like your insight into the trend that all the applications in this time frame are witnessing.. i also agree that some people who got their medicals early, are now waiting a long time to receive their ppr, while people like me are waiting longg time to get Medicals, but Inshallah it should process soon after the medicals..

but then again, no one knows for sure, so we can just weait and pray...!!

thx buddy for appreciating words...thats true early medicals might result in long wait after and vice versa but nothing authentic just a guess...dear wats  ur time lines pls.....how long u been waiting..

Inshallah you should be getting some good news very very soon....I know it !!! 

I believe that the LVO will be picking up pace soon...as it has been seen in the past as well...whenever they go quiet...all of a sudden they speed up things....

I really hope and pray we all get our PR soon...it really has been a long time...and there is so much to plan...and for me...I still have my 2008 application running in parallel...so its been a looooooong time for me just thinking about it all....anyways...

I am actually working for a large company (not as per my NOC any more) and find it very difficult to come online during office hours... but still try to manage...my schedule has become pretty busy since the past few months and I have a lot of work load...

The only reason I was thinking of leaving was because the person (whoever he was) made me realize that I was also in the same boat once thinking and calculating when I would recieve my PER and Meds and so on and a lot of other people would also be doing the same...and he was right that the tracker needed to be updated...,because it is trackers like these that keep us motivated and excited by looking at the timelines of other applicants...

Anyways...I will try to give more time here and manage my work....cos chking and updating from home is not an option for me...as I have 2 school going kids (Mashallah) who are quite demanding as well 

We all need to/should be giving time to our family!! plus we all must have our own life schedules apart from the forum

 @ cocknbul, yes i hav applied through a consultant. so the problem with me is that my consultant does not give us the file number... all i have is my previous file number from 2007, and when i log into ecase, it tells me the position of both files. thats how i know that my file got IN PROCESS on oct 18, 2011.

i hav also noticed that after every quarter end, the first month of the new quater is always slow.. e.g January is slow, then April will be slow.. so hopefully we can expect something in Feb 2012.. INSHALLAH..

All you have to do is login with your email ID which you will provide via PM to me (so I can add your email address) and you can edit it from the same window. The file automatically saves....u don't have to do anything....just enter directly into the sheet....it's that simple  

So...PM me you email (gmail) address so I can add u to it....u'll figure it out in a jiffy !!
