Well a very strange case.

did they mentioned any File no. on their email? are you able to check your ECAS online?
did they mentioned that you have passed positive final determination for canadian immigration eligibility?

Dear members,

Today i received an email from VO london asking for updated PCC's, POF and Updated IMM0008 & Schedule 1/background declaration.
i received tis email just 5 days after getting into inprocess.
is it a positive sign?

Well...most of the people I have seen on that thread are old cases...this one is supposed to cater to all cases after 26/06/2010 so it makes it easier for us to network and keep a track of timelines...and most of all help each other !!

We can also look into your idea of maintaining emails and numbers...if everyone wants to share...lets see how it goes...

Hi, listener and safa,


i am from Lahore and applied in oct 2010, and my status is RVO (London)..i think that we have same problems like i have done M.Phil from PU and claimed uncle points as blood relative..He provided all  necessary documents to me from Canada (as he has citizenship of Canada) but he is now residing in USA..


i am very confused and need some good suggestions that how much points VO will give me..

i have total points ( Edu 25 + Exp 21 + age 10 + Ielts 8 + 5 uncle and 3 wife)= total are 72..

If you have received PER from them and your file has been sent to the VO....I would definitely say that you are safe and should just be waiting for your status to change to In Process....which should be very soon now...

Why are you worried about points?? It seems that you are fine....just need to wait thats all....

Well, I have heard of another case with same situation.
I guess, it happens when CIC have previous application record of the candidate.
so my question would be "did you apply in the past?" In case 'yes' then its perfectly fine to receive such letter and documents as they already have your docs in their database. They would only keep those docs which you didn't include with your previous immigration application. The rest would be returned after PER.

I have a previous application.....but I haven't got any docs back yet...I hope that they do give my originals back...cos its gonna be a big big hassle getting new ones in case they don't give them back.... Shocked Shocked

What I mentioned is quite recent and both cases I have seen are of post june 2011 whereas your submission was last year.
Here the worth nothing point is .... in pursuit to gain time efficiency and avoid hassles of huge  doc management, CIC and VOs keep making minor changes in their operational style and this seems one practice they have introduced this year......just my views!!!

I guess that could be true....I just hope that I do get my docs back...cos I have sent quite a few originals.....

U should wait for any response from VO.from me vo asked for more documents to proove his residency in canada currently..what docs u sent to vo.now i am sending docs of another real  relative currently living in canada.so,i suggest to wait and watch.
