Dear all,

Firstly, thanks for reading and helping.

I'm on a work permit valid until 2013 in BC. I've already applied for PR in the federal skilled worker program.

My question is the following. I've just got married with my wife who resides in China and I want her to come join me. The problem is that we do not own an appartment or have a lot of money in our bank account so I think that the officer might refuse her temporary visa on the ground that he will not believe that she will come back.

I've read about the OWP, but still I'm confused. My job falls under the Skill Category A. Can my wife apply for a open work permit or she still needs to provide a job offer and will she still need to prove that she will return to China at the end of her visa?

Do I need to apply myself in Canada or she needs to make a new application in China?

Thanks a lot!
