Overstayed tourist visa in USA, I have a Canadian Citizen Girlfriend

Ok so i was brought to the usa on a tourist visa when i was 12. Im now 22 yrs old and my girlfriend of 2 years is a Canadian Citizen. Is there any possible way that she can file a petition for me without me having to go back to my home country? (she is also a university student)...

1.  She can't sponsor you, unless you are married or have lived in a C/law relationship for a year.
2.  As you were probably not admitted to the US for 1 year on your original entry, your application will have to be processed in your home country.  It can be done, but if you have to have an interview it will be done at the office that serves your home country.

As soon as you are married she can apply to sponsor you. The time it takes to process the application varies a great deal depending on the country you are from.
She can also apply to sponsor you once you have lived together for a year.
If you are not living with her, you will have to wait until you are married.
