I entered Canada on a student visa to study in Halifax, Nove Scotia. Met a lady, fell in love, had a child, unfortunately my visa ran out and I overstayed. Was removed/deported in 1999. I wanted to know what measures I could take in order to seek permission to be allowed (just to visit my daughter) back into Canada? Thank you in advance for any advice.

You will have to apply for Ministerial consent from an overseas CHC office, as well as TRV, if you require a visitor visa to visit Canada.
