Outside application but request extension of Visa Inside ?

Hello

I like to visit my Canadian wife in Canada but apply for sponsorship using the Berlin Office as they are quite fast.
So in fact my wife and me will live in Canada, me on a 6 month tourist visa. And from inside Canada we want to file an Outside application. Is that possible ? 

Is it also possible to apply for an extension of my visa together with the sponsorship application by doing an outside application but I stay in Canada ?

I know that I mix two different scenarios here, but that mix would allow me to stay with her and use the quick outside processing time.

Yes, you can do this.  My advice would be to get the application in process before coming to Canada for a visit.  That way you can advise the CBSA officer when you arrive in Canada that you have a spousal sponsorship application in process.  Show him/her the fees receipt.
