 just wondering i am Canadian living in Italy sponsering my husband from Italy to Canada just wondering does the application get mailed to Rome Canadian Consulant or does it get mailed to Toronto office and also if my spouse has a dependent child who will not be joining us is there a fee for him not clear on that one thank you

 just wondering i am Canadian living in Italy sponsering my husband from Italy to Canada just wondering does the application get mailed to Rome Canadian Consulant or does it get mailed to Toronto office and also if my spouse has a dependent child who will not be joining us is there a fee for him not clear on that one thank you

1.  The sponsorship and the application are mailed to Mississauga with the supporting documents including the medical receipt and Police Certificates.
2.  If the child is non-accompanying then their is no fee.  If the child is in the custody of the mother, your spouse is going to have to show that he is maintaining his support obligations.  The child should be medically examined by the DMP so that s/he could be sponsored in the future.
3.  You will have to include a statement what you have done towards re-settling in Canada, as to work, living arrangements, schooling.
