When you hit the border to come visit while decisions were being made - did you need to show ties back? Letter from job etc?

This wait is really starting to get to me (it's been 7 months since our app was in, 9 months if you include the first one we sent in in October that came back).

Not if you bring a copy of your AOR and/or fees receipt to show CBSA that there is a sponsorship application in process.

We just did this...my husband actually gave up his job to come visit through the rest of the process...when we got to the Ambassador Bridge (Detroit/Windsor crossing) we showed them all the documentation we had, the receipts, the sponsorship approval for  me, the in process email from Buffalo, and a screen shot of where we are in the process from Ecas....there was not one problem, she did call someone in the office from the booth, but didn't even ask what he was bringing with him...it went really smooth there, but we had everything in order just in case....

Thanks for the input all...just completely paranoid that after the twelve hour drive there then the twelve hour drive back up here they would turn her away. I miss her quite a bit and if she can be here to wait things out that works for me  Grin
