Hi,

Me and my wife have our original birth certificates from Pakistan. But very strangely both our birth certificates don't have our names on them. I suppose we weren't named at the time when birth certificates were made. Mine for example has my sex, DOB and father's name. Same for my wife.

Guys will this work? Should i just translate this and send it through?

You can apply for fresh BCs at NADRA.

I live in UAE. Its difficult to request one from here. Whats the process. How long does it take?

I have NADRA ID Card, Pakistani passport. Isn't that sufficient? Plus the birth certificate which doesn't have my name but links me to it.

Have a look at this post:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t57445.0.html

It shows that if one doesn't submit original birth certificate then case can be rejected

dear i think it is not a problem. ur record is enrolled in the muncipal just go and ask them to issue a copy with the requirement of visa office with the stamp of mundipal and signature of the secretary. i did not have the birth certificate, recently i have had my birth ciertificate with late registration. onething remains to be mentined is that NADRA does not issue the birth certificate.

Dear MobyShaikh,

I regret that since I am not from Pakistan, I have little knowledge on how the birth certificate can be procured or your name inserted in them. I do know that I did not submit any birth certificate but my school records, passport and other degrees were accepted as enough proof. Nevertheless, I would still suggest you to get this sorted and not give them a reason to delay/reject the case.

Regards,

I agree we should not give them a reason for rejection. We should try our best to get as many things as possible. If we are unable for some reason then we should provide explanation. If everyone follows each other then they will suspect something is wrong.

Thanks buddy
