I don't know, but who charged you 18$ for option C? or are we talking about something else here? I ordered mine few months back, and it was free and arrived by regular mail, took around 7 days or so. P.S. The option C has to be original when we submit it to CPC-M DNT2003 idc about spending 18 dollars for a new one, its the over a month wait of getting a new one.

@ Heidyincnd There is no minimum total , spousal sponsorship is exempt from that. he doesnt have to meet a requirement just show that he can provide for you.
@ DNT2003 I was talking about 18 dollars for another police certificate.

Hi,
Can I join this room asking about our situation hopefully somebody can help us out? My husband got the option C print out but his last income (2010) was so low (just 8.000$) but now he has his own business and starting getting more income to his business account. Can I just still send the print out Opt C together with his business account statement showing that he will have more than 23.000 to sponsor his wife? or is that too risky for us to send with just that? What should I input in the sponsorship valuation in question 3 (your net personal income)?
Thanks for your replies...
Hi Heidi - that will not be a problem - we were holding off my spousal sponsorship as my hubby did own his own contracting business. Unfortunately when the economy crashed his business went bankrupt. Luckily he was discharged in a little over 18 months but not enough time to get the Opt C print out to keep me in a legal status. I am still waiting (Inland App) but so far it does not seem to be a problem - we also included a letter stating why the Opt C was not included. I was also told by our advisor that as we dont have kids a min. income requirement is not applicable - just no welfare.

Because I will be applying inland so my visa office will be Vergeville. I've just need to get the police clearance in my home country only. Hopefully I will not miss anything. Aw...do you guys need finger print sent to CIC? I've also done that quickly this morning. So, I am nearly got there... Cheers...

I didn't read all the replies so perhaps someone has already answered your question. I sent mine in without....I just sent the receipts from H&R Block and all that stuff showing the results of my taxes and that they were indeed completed and sent in. My file was approved promptly and they never asked for anything else.
I called the immigration call centre and they said that as long as you show your taxes are done, immigration understands this time of year not everyone has their Option C printout. And in truth what I sent in actually had more information than the Option C printout anyways. All the Option C does is show you've completed your taxes!

I'm curious, but is Option C a requirement when the sponsor lives exclusively outside of Canada and the application is outland?
I don't see what benefit would option C provide when the sponsor has not even declared taxes in Canada because of residence out of Canada.
Could someone clarify?

If you live outside of Canada and haven't filed taxes in Canada, then you cant get a option C printout I don't think. you'd need to provide a letter explaining why its not included, and provide other proof that you have an income like the letter from your employer and pay stubs. hopefully someone else can confirm this and give you more info.

Thanks kourts. I'm including payslips and tax declarations filed recently for the country I live at the moment, so I guess I'd have to explain in a separate sheet about that situation.

As what I know if the sponsor living outside of Canada, you will have to return to the country and live there for a while. Then, of course you will work and live inside the country and by then CIC will certainly require for Option C print out from CRA. In your case, if you are the sponsor then your partner will be applicant apply out-land. However, please search more and double check with others for sure

but on the checklist for the sponsor it has a thing to check if you're living exclusively outside of Canada and you just show proof of your intent to return to Canada with your spouse after they receive PR. I don't think you have to return to Canada and live and work for a while before you can submit the application.

kourts, you are correct. I only need to promise the CIC that I will land in Canada either sometime before or when my wife lands to get her PR. So, I could either wait out the entire PR process through completion or move back to Canada sometime before that happens so as to start looking for a job and housing.
