I have a Post grad work permit valid till august 2014 and got married in India in Nov 2010. I wanted to bring my wife with me but her visitor visa got rejected due to reasons like- insufficient travel history, no family ties in India, no proper employment history.

The second time we applied for dependent open work permit (after 2 weeks of the visitor visa rejection) but that was also rejected stating she did not have sufficient family ties in India.

We are planning to re-apply in February 2012 for the third time? Should I apply for a visitor visa or an open work permit? Which one will be easier and less risky the 3rd time? I will finish 1 year at my job in April and then we both can apply for a Canadian Experience Class PR. I am unable to apply for provincial PR since my employer does not support.

Please guide me if anyone else had a similar experience.
