hs202 is damn right! Opp Ontario advised me the same thing in writing which was rather a disappointment.

Please can someone tell me if:

i.) I have a PGWP and intending to switch to open WP.
ii.) ben nominated under masters pilot of Opportunities Ontario and hv filed PR.
iii.) Have a job offer and currently working in that job (1 year renewable contract for up to 2 years)

Can I not just apply for a WP online or do i still need lmo if im already working in that job?

Hi Albert,

I am in the same situation as you (Pilot Master Stream Nominee). My Post-Graduate Work Permit will expire in June. I am a full time employee at TD Bank. Do they issue work permit to the person who already has a job?

Thanks a lot
did you get answers? I am trying to send you a PM but your inbox is full .. could you share the details.

Hey Guys,

I am in the same boat, did you try renewing your WP what happened?

opportunity ontario has screwed us big time with this hidden clause which is only on their FB page and no where else.

Once you are extending your permit you need a new LMO

I'm a bit confused with so many contradictory statements provided on the the respective visa office, CIC, and the PNP websites of respective provinces. I did not even submit my original nomination certificate to Buffalo as a photocopy is sufficient according to some of its pages. The pages found on the Buffalo web and on AINP and some pages on CIC however require us to submit an original copy.  Undecided

Now here I'm reading that Ontario will need an LMO for a work permit extension. However, on this page here:

cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-permit.asp

it doesn't seem to even need an LMO for a work permit.

Anybody has any update here?
