be ULTRA honest, do not LIE,hesitate or hide anything, based on my experince, the IO is ur friend and all his job is to make sure u are a genuine couple and are of no harm to canada, IO's doesnt have any plans to refuse anyone in advance, they are interviewing u to give u a fair clear chance. and NO they cant and will not delete ur file, these stories u read over the internet is nonsense. CIC IS FAIR.

the IO who interviewed me was VERY VERY polite, nice, professional and actually walked me to the door.

One more piece of advice.  DON'T MAKE STUFF UP!  If you don't know something, say that.  If you can't remember, say that.  Visa Officers are trained to follow threads of conversations that they suspect could be untrue.  If they suspect that anything about your relationship is not genuine they will question you about that.  Like others said, be honest.  Don't be intimidated and tell them things you THINK they want to hear.  What they want is just the truth.  Good luck.
