Thanks surender... seems like Buffalo speeds up after transfering all their backlog to other consulate and now they (other consulates) are buried under it. Well wait is kind of over but now the actual business starts... moving and setlling down in canada

Congratulations Viper.

Joseph ,Lettuce

I have an theory. Buffalo has speeded up its processing and they are sending out PPR's to May applicants and also asking for FBI on case by case basis. I have tried to communicate with them multiple times and have given them the confirmation details of my FBI certs (dated Dec 2010) which were received by them in the month of February. The VO said the file has not been updated ,it is puzzling to me why it is taking more than a month for them to update the files with my FBI certs and also looks like my VO is not as considerate as the guy VIper got Smiley. I have requested 3rd time FBI ...they did ask me to pay the RPRF if it has not been done already in the mail that I got.

Anywaz long story short both of you will for sure receive your PPR request in not more than two weeks..

Also the reason the PPR's are appearing random is they are mostly going by

1.Application sent date
2.Completness of the application ( FBI , Police ) and I have a hunch they like RPRF being paid.
3.Out of the background check loop....

Any one of the above seems to prolong the application time...

Anywaz I hope god takes some mercy and gets my file updated with the FBI certs...meanwhile have to wait for the third set if they dont like the second set....

Enough of my sob story. Good luck to you both , you will for sure get it in the next two weeks.

Lights

Hey Lights,

I guess we have similar timeline with viper, any updates regarding with your fbi thingy?

Regards,
joseph

Congrats Stupid_Cupid

Your case makes sense with my post above. Your application was sent in April and probably had everything in order including the RPRF and Buffalo has actually speeded up its processing after reducing all its load.

Some of the May Applicants should see PPR's in the coming weeks.

Sunderjeet

Great work tracking the PPR's from NY.One small suggestion as previously suggested by Joseph if you can add Application sent date ( CIC application sent date ) that will clarify a lot of the missing information.

CIC is only bound by their own regulations to complete an application review within 11 months from the date they received the file.

AOR and Medicals will be a bit out of line ( eg: Stupid_Cupid got his AOR in August along with us May applicants whereas his application was sent in mid April ) ...

So he is getting PPR ahead of the May guys . AOR received date is not the right tracking mechanism.

Hello Friends,

Here is the good news... I just received Passport Request (in a brown envelope) by postal mail from NYC.
I am given 30 days time to submit the passports.

Surprisingly, the letter is dated 09-March-2011 and the postal stamp date on the envelop is 15-March-2011.
I can't believe that it took one week for the dispatch clerk to drop the letter in the mailbox...

Anyways, My 4 months of wait has come to an end.....

My prayers and wishes for each one of you and hope you get your PPR's soon.

Good Luck Friends...

Hi Viper, CONGRATS!

Can you share your date of the IA letter and when exactly did Buffalo receive your FBI results? Our time lines are VERY similar. Hoping to get it soon as well. Thank Viper!

Thanks lightsinthemist , I didn't pay RPRF with application not even after getting the letter (no doc required) but I will pay now when I will go for stamping. But yeh other than that everything was there in the application packet like police certificates ...

I am pretty sure atleast Buffalo is processing applications as per "Processing start date" not by medical recevied. One good thing atleast for me, they have given me enough time for stamping so I am thinking to do in-person stamping and cross the border next day and complete the PR formality. what you guys say, stamping one day and land next day Huh?

Congrats Stupid_Cupid

I think it is a great idea. Stamp one day and land next day. Technically I see nothing wrong or negative impacts. Frankly I wish I could do the same.

Gook luck to you and keep posted with any updates in your case.
