Guys,
I just got my nomination and have been reading lots of thread to familirized myself with the proces with CIC but there are some question that I'm hoping some of you could clarify with me:
1. Do we need to send immigration document? On Buffalo visa office checklist, there is no requirement to send immigration document but, I read in this thread that someone (bendjoe?) was asked to sent I-797. Also, on the "Helpful Hints" thread on this forum it says: "Provide proof of one year lawful admission to the USA". That said, do we need to send immigration doc?
2. I read on this thread that in the beginning, some of the people was not sending state PCC but seems like Buffalo office transferred the processing to another consulate and they started to ask for state PCC. Is that what they have been asking that we send FBI and state PCC?

Thx!

Hi Tapak ,

If i am not mistaken even your file was transferred to NY on APR 7th and you haven't yet heard from anyone . As per the letter we received it says that we should not contact for status check ,90 days from date of letter.

It's 90 days now. Are you planning to get in touch with NY office?

I am trying to find best way to find  status . One way i am aware for time being  is "WAITING " :-)....

Finally, the suspense around my wait is over. I got reply to my query sent on 20th June. Boy! it was a bolt from blue

Dear [taps],

Please note your file is not ready for finalization at this time as we are currently waiting for the results of the medical exams for yourself, your spouse and [son].

The medical notes indicate a replacement x-ray is required from the examining physician in all 3 cases.  Please confirm that your medical file is up to date.

Also, the files being processed at our office here in New York cannot have the COPR and immigrant visas issued at another post.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

I called up TexasMedClinic where my meds were performed and asked them if there was any correspondence regarding re-submission of x-rays. They said "No" and advised me to take new x-rays and send over. I got them done an hour ago [50 miles each way to get them done]. Radiologist will get the report done based on the x-ray by Friday and send them over to Ottawa.

Sincere advice. People waiting for updates on CIC, please check with your physician if all was correctly sent and that there is no pending requests from CIC.

That's Great Taps  . At least you know the reason for delay.I emailed the question today let's hope they get back to me with some more details . I Will also try to contact my doctors office to check on any pending request on CIC.

Dnataraj : CAIPS is last option i am considering incase i don't hear for some more time

Akk : Unfortunately my e-cas shows "In Process"  which is not much helpful.

My e-cas also shows "in process", but this is a link, if I click there, I could see when they received my process, when it was transferred, when medicals were received...so I get a pretty good idea about what is going on...

Akk,

I agree but my application was transferred to NY in APR , which is quite some time now. After it is  transferred  it's hard to find the status . The best example is Taps case wherein his case was on hold due to medical results but unfortunately e-case won't give that information and the only way would be to send email to NY Office . Which i did now , hope to hear from them soon .

Why CIC didn't inform you about the problem in X-ray for so long?

The same question bugs me. If it wasn't for my query regarding status, this would have been still unknown to me. More than I being notified, I expected CIC to notify physician about replacement of X-rays; apparently, they didn't do that.

Taps:

Did you email NYC and ask about your status of app?

Exactly, when did you do it.. ?  My case transferred to NYC on may 20 - so, it's not yet 3 months.  Should I inquire about my case as well?
